How long can we bear this!!

I am sick and tired of this traditional, stenching, family melodrama
stuff in our Hindi TV serials. Dont we deserve anything better than
this glorified and raw PARIVAR sentiment that goes on and on in our
Hindi TV serials.
On top of this, they are ably supported by JARRING background score
that will make you suffer from amnesia and most of the time, the music
is so loud( even if the situation desn't demand) that you will get
blacked out ears.
Even the charecterisation of women in these serials is nothing short of absolute 🤬.
Heavily dressed females rule the roost creating trouble to other women in the family.
Men dressed up like Corporate honchos have no other better job than to argue with females at home.
On top of this, we are made to believe that these guys head a coporate business house.
I think all this needs a paradigm shift in the way the stories and screenplays are wriiten for these serials.
But as long as we watch the same old crap, the saga will continue.

Whoa you must be really angry at these serials.

I understand what you mean. These serials are seriously getting cliche and stereotypical now. 🤢 And you're right -they're all having the same concept - a sweet, bubbly girl (who is usually a bahu), a husband who gets married like 4 times, a bad character (usually a woman) and some brothers and sisters.

Serialbuster, you don't have to watch TV if u dont like the soaps. There are a lot more interesting stuff to do.

Ha , I understand where you are coming from. If we stop watching TV, just beacuse we dont like TV serials, I think thats a mistake. In Indian homes, TVs are normally assets of the family room and most of the times, everyone in the family is glued to these idiot boxes. My idea is these serails should be watchable by one and all in the family. This Stereotypical stuff is boring and my question is " Dont we have any better stuff to watch??"

I wanted know public opinion on this. If I had wanted to switch off my TV, I would have done that long time back.
