Arnav helped Khushi lean against the pillow and took her face in his hands. He kissed her forehead and her cheeks. She closed her eyes as he gently pressed his lips against hers. He licked her lower lip and she slowly parted her lips; he let his tongue explore the deep corners of her mouth. She arched her head back, enjoying the kiss; he put his arms on her shoulders and placed soft kisses on her neck. She started breathing heavily and grabbed her saree as she squirmed with pleasure. He pushed the pallu and the sleeve of the blouse off her shoulder as he started kissing her shoulder; suddenly he pulled away, seeing the bandage on her tummy. She opened her eyes, confused; her eyes begged him not to stop. He shook his head and took her face in his hands again. "Khushi, you should get some rest. The drive from the hospital must have been tiring". Khushi shook her head, but Arnav raised his eyebrows and looked at her sternly. "Khushi, shut up and listen to me. You will get better only if you get some rest. You do want the pain to go away, right." He got off the bed, but she grabbed his hand. "I am already feeling better. I don't feel any pain when you hold me in your arms, Arnavji. If you leave me alone, then the pain will come back. Don't go." He smiled, sat down, took her face in his hands and kissed her forehead. She continued, "And when you.. when you.. " she stammered, her lips trembling, as she looked into his eyes, "after all these days.. I'm so happy that you are here.. I can't tell you how much I longed to be with you.. how much I craved for your love.. " A tear escaped her eye; Arnav noticed it and wiped the tear away. "I'm not going anywhere.. and sweetheart, get ready to feel a lot of love from now." He leaned forward to kiss her forehead.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Arnav looked up at the door. Khushi quickly adjusted her pallu and a few seconds later, they saw NK peep in through the open door. "Nanav, Khushiji, you are home". He walked in with a big smile on his face. "Khushiji, how are you feeling now?" Khushi smiled and looked at Arnav, "Nanheji, I have never felt better. Arnavji is taking good care of me". Arnav looked at her and smiled. NK cleared his throat and they looked at him. NK started to say something, then realized that the door was open. He walked towards the door, closed it, walked to the bed and kneeled down on the floor next to Arnav and Khushi. "Nanav, I have been keeping a close watch on Jijaji the past two days, just like you asked me to. Yesterday, I heard him on the phone with someone by the poolside; he was really angry and yelling at the person on the other side. He said something about how could you let them get away; I am not going to pay you or something. I think they might have threatened him, so he said that he will trap them in a fake lawsuit and make sure they end up in jail. He stayed home all of yesterday and there were no other phone calls. But today he got a phone call during breakfast. I followed him to his room and heard him tell someone that he will meet them. He told Di he was going to meet the building contractor in Shanti nagar. But I followed him and he didn't go to Shanti nagar. I followed him about 10 kms past Shanti nagar, but I lost him in the traffic". NK said shaking his head, disappointed. Arnav put his hand on NK's shoulder and NK looked at him. "It's ok, NK. I wonder whom he was going to meet today. Maybe the kidnappers? I wonder what he is upto?" Khushi folded her arms. "Maybe, but why? Why did he kidnap you in the first place? Arnavji, he has been taking lots of money from Di's account when you weren't here. Maybe he is paying them more to keep them quiet. Maybe you should check Di's account. Nanheji and I, we tried to look at his bank statements, but we couldn't; we needed a password." Arnav nodded, "I can look into that. Maybe we can learn more about the kidnappers that way. But how is that going to help us? My question is why did he kidnap me? If money was his motive, why didn't he.." Khushi continued, "ask for ransom, yes, I wondered that too. That is why I was trying to work with him, because we had no clue about what to do, where to find you, why Shyamji did all this. We had nothing, Arnavji, no way to get to you." She touched his arm, her eyes filled with tears. "Khushi, shhh.. I'm here now. I know why you had to work with Shyam. But I won't let him come near you ever again." NK was about to say something, when there was a knock on the door. Hari Prakash asked them to come downstairs for dinner.

Khushi started to move off the bed, but Arnav put a hand on her shoulder, "Khushi, wait here. I will go down and get us some food. We can eat here." Khushi shook her head and took his hand in hers. "Arnavji, you have been away from your family so long. You should spend some time with them too. I missed them too the past few days. I know how they feel about me, but it will pass; I haven't done anything wrong, they will eventually realize that and they will forgive me". She smiled and touched his face. "Until then, please don't ask me to stay away from my family, Arnavji." Arnav's eyes filled with tears; everyone hates her and she still considers them her family and she thinks they will forgive her, when they are the ones who should ask for her forgiveness. Arnav exhaled deeply and smiled at Khushi. He then scooped her up in his arms and carried her down to the dining room.

Arnav placed Khushi on a chair next to Nani and sat down next to her. Nani looked up seeing them and smiled; then suddenly her smile disappeared and she looked away. Khushi looked at Mami; she was staring at her angrily and then she looked away. Suddenly, Anjali sat down, on a chair opposite to Khushi with a big smile on her face. "Nani, I'm so excited. My baby.. my baby kicked today". She turned to Khushi and said smiling, "Khushiji, I know you wanted to feel the kick.." and suddenly she stopped and her face became clouded with anger. She looked away and started taking food in her plate. Khushi looked down at the food that Arnav had placed on her plate. She broke off a piece of roti and looked at her plate; a tear dropped on the roti on her plate. Arnav noticed that; he took the piece of roti from her hand, dipped it in curry and put it in her mouth. Khushi looked at him with tear-filled eyes; Arnav shook his head and fed her another piece of roti. Suddenly he raised his eyebrows; his face was furious. Khushi followed his gaze and saw Shyam walking towards the table. Arnav remembered how Shyam had punched him while he was kidnapped; his hand curled into a fist, but Khushi took his hand in hers. He looked at her and she shook her head; no, not in front of everyone. Arnav calmed down and looked at Shyam. Shyam sat down next to Anjali, while his gaze was on Khushi.

Anjali smiled as Shyam sat down. "Did you meet with the building contractors, how is the house construction going?" She turned to look at Arnav and then back at Shyam and said, "I can't wait to leave this house". Arnav looked up at Anjali, hearing this. Anjali looked at Arnav, with tears in her eyes. Khushi looked at Arnav and saw the pain on his face. She looked down at her plate and closed her eyes. I am the reason Di wants to leave the house; Arnavji is in pain because of me. She looked up as Arnav said, "Di, you don't have to leave this house." Anjali bit her lip and said, "I'm sorry Chote, but I can't stay here and see you suffer. I cannot stay in the same house with people who want to give you pain." Anjali looked at Khushi; their eyes met. Khushi's hand shivered, but she looked at Arnav as he took her shivering hand in his. Anjali saw this and her face became furious. Suddenly Mami pushed the plate away and stood up, "I'm not hungry any more." She turned to leave the table and Anjali stood up too. "Mami, wait. I cannot take this anymore". She looked at Arnav and said, angrily, "Chotte, I want her out of this house NOW! We are your family; we know what is best for you". Her face softened and a tear rolled down her cheek. "Chotte, I am your sister. I was there for you when we had no one else. I am sorry but I cannot see you make a fool of yourself. I know you love Khushi, but she doesn't deserve your love". Anjali looked at Khushi, tears streaming down her cheeks, her face clouded with anger. "Khushi, we all know what you really are; you betrayed our trust and played with our feelings and all just for money! Look at you, how can you even sit here and act as if nothing happened? Chee! don't you have any shame?" Khushi listened to Anjali and closed her eyes, trying to control her tears.

Khushi opened her eyes when she heard Arnav scream, "Enough!" Arnav continued, "Enough Di! I don't want to hear any more accusations against Khushi in this house any more. If you care so much about me, then you should thank her! I'm standing right before you today because of Khushi, because she was the only one who understood that something was wrong, because she was the only one who figured out that I had been kidnapped, because she risked her life to come find me and because.." he paused and looked at Khushi, "she took the bullet that was aimed at me". Khushi was still staring at her plate. Arnav looked at everyone sitting around the table and continued, "If you still think she is after my money, well.. I don't care, because I will not believe you, no matter what you tell me. But if you ever accuse her again, Khushi and I will leave this house that moment". Khushi looked at Arnav; a tear rolled down her cheek. Arnav turned to her, took in his arms and started walking away from the table, ignoring the looks on Anjali and Mami's faces. Khushi put her arms around his neck and closed her eyes, her heart brimming with tears. Arnav stopped when he heard Payal's voice, "Arnavji?" Akash and Payal had just walked in hearing Arnav's outburst. Arnav looked at Payal and said, "Payal, Khushi hasn't eaten anything. Can you please get some food for her upstairs?" Payal nodded and Arnav walked away. Payal started filling up a plate with food, ignoring stares from Anjali, Mami and even Akash.

I don't know if I should have made Anjali this way.. maybe she wont react this way.. but I think she might, given that she is suspicious of Khushi's behavior with her husband too!
