Yesss! She got what she deserved! Well done Kunal! She was asking for it!

Isn't that what all of us are thinking? I admit, secretly, it did feel good, to see that b**** get slapped across the face. It's like experiencing an adrenaline rush from giving in to an animal instinct.

But let us think for a moment here, is this right? Should violence be used when words fail? Slapping someone is an act of physical violence, beyond a doubt. Is it right for a man to hit a woman or, in the interest of not having double standards, for a woman to hit a man?

Undeniably, Richa is evil & she should be punished, but by allowing ourselves to think that she "deserved it", we allow ourselves to start excusing violence as a means to an end. Telly fiction notwithstanding, when a good looking, popular "hero" gets applauded for hitting a woman, he unwittingly gives testosterone driven alfa males, country-wide a stamp of approval to raise their hands on "deserving" women!

Should we be cheering this act of Kunal's? I think not'.Kunal Chopra has a dent in his armor that needs quick repair.

It is very distressing that Balaji Telefilms should time & again fuel the spread of those very social evils that Amir Khan is attempting to curb!

Agree with you Fari. Didn't appreciate Kunal Chopra who always condemns physical abuse on women, slapping Richa today. I agree, Richa's character deserves what she is getting or worse, but was not able to digest a principled and educated man like Kunal Chopra resorting to physical abuse.

Would have appreciated if this slap had come from Richa's parent, Daddy T, but I do not advocate a man like Kunal Chopra physically assaulting a woman when other measures could have been taken.

Thanks Fari for raising this topic 👏 You are right about everything that you said. In fact I didn't even like the slap that much.😆 It did not give me an ounce of satisfaction because I see her as a mentally disturbed person who needs a psychologist and not a slap 🤢 Him taking her home to her dad was the more appropriate reaction.

The second and more important point. Where are Mr. Chopra's principles?😕 He has always been shown to be respectful of women and I admired the fact that despite everything he was as reasonable as possible with Richa. How did he come down to beating? How is he better than Richa if he is also resorting to physical violence to show his emotions?

I am very disappointed and I hope that Balaji Telefilms will cease this trend of the hero, the supposed good guy slapping women when they are out of options

I beg to differ ..Richa has been testing Kunal's patience for a while now..they have been numerous occasion where Kunal has controlled him self...be it her drunken act, in court, during kidnapping etc... but today was the height.. no one can sit and watch his wife being killed...and if a girl can go to a extent of accusing some-one of false rape charges than he is not wrong in slaping her...
and it is not like an obsessed husband or a lover beating wife or girl friend to death, burning her , torturing her ..etc..she is a culprit, has done lots of evil things, if not stopped she will continue with her deeds so according to me nothing wrong in what Kunal did

Fari...even I wasn't happy to see the slap scene & was in fact surprised when i heard about it in the forum

Whatever maybe the circumstance slapping someone isn't going the solve the issue...To see the male lead of the show hitting a woman was so Blah!!!!!!!

It would give instant gratification, nothing good is going to come out of it ...hadn't expected this from Kunal

Fari - i have been debating on this violence issue on Satyamev Jayate's forum where someone has raised the topic on effect of entertainment on the society. so am not going to bring that point out here at all.
Here in Canada we have ratings of the show. If there is domestic violence shown on the show then those programs have different parental rating and hence only people with right mind set that is adult can view those show and the young mind does not get perverted by such actions.👏

Violence is not a solution to any argument. It only portrays that the person who raised hand does not have enough words to argue or it just shows how weak the other person is internally.

Yes Richa is/was wrong but Kunal was wrong as well since even after his wedding with Siddhi he continued his relation with Richa in the name of friendship which gave wrong signal to Richa and has brought her to this obsessiveness. Somewhere deep down it was Kunal's fault as well. Even during rape case he was the culprit.

Now when Mr. Chopra has started thinking logically (Intelligently) he must have realised how fool he was and hence all that frustration was out on Richa today.
