So I beg to differ here. I am a woman and I have massive issues with domestic violence and abuse. But to say that Kunal is abusive is incorrect. Also acc to me the context of saying that a real man does not slap a woman is as follows: Men are physically stronger than women and a man using physical force against a woman is at an unfair advantage. Kunal slapping Richa had nothing to do with gender at all. This woman was just racing a car towards his pregnant wife and he had just managed to save his wife. A second later and she would have been dead or seriously injured. What Kunal did means that he is human and not an abusive man

As far Richa, is the slap has broken her tooth than i will call it violence but if it is only finger marks Richa should be happy with it.

I was not talking about kids at all here. Men hitting women in any religion/culture/law is a no no and viceversa as well is the same. Being a men you would obviously support Kunal's reaction. However am more surprised as being a biggest Richa fan you are supporting Kunal😕

Salman, welcome back🤗

Now to get back to the subject... Most of us have loved Kunal despite his imperfections, or I should say, for his many imperfections, bcz that is what makes him so "human" & not super hero-like. But through the many inconsistencies, Kunal's gentlemanly approach towards facing the world, shoulders squared has been consistent. If he is now shown to be a person that lets emotions get the better of him, he is no different from any person that hits another person or living being, for what ever reason.

Noreen, I could be wrong but I think, Kunal was stopped by Siddhi before he hit Raveena. In any case, even if this isn't the first time, just because no one commented on it before doesn't make it alright.

@ Red - Very well said Fari - him having it done in the past with others (which I also doubt, I might be wrong like you as well) doesn't make this one alright. I remember every time Kunal has done something out of his character, we have made sure to point it out by voicing out displeasure about it. If he did that before, it wasn't alright then, it's not alright now👎🏼.

No matter which character is it - Kunal or Siddhi, If they doing something inhumane or out of their characters, we should express our objections about it.

I am sure if Siddhi would have slapped someone say Rohit for misbehaving with her very few people would have called her abusive. Riccha tried killing his wife and baby. HONESTLY what would you have wanted/ expected him to do. I dont see how he becomes unprincipled due to this action.

I loved the slap! Not because Richa deserved it which she did anyway but because I felt Kunal acted more on his instincts in that moment. She was about to kill his wife and if he hadn't slapped her at that moment, I would not like it.. Imagine Kunal going to richa and lecturing her about her actions when she was a second away from killing his wife. I don;t think it is violence or abuse on women.. nor was kunal in a situation where he could think before he acted. I think this scene has to be like this👏

You call his action inhumane?? No in fact it was the most human and instinctive reaction possible.. This was not a premediated act of violence. It was an absolutely warranted reaction to Riccha trying to kill siddhi and their baby

For starters he should be disciplining his wife , who was walking in the middle of the road inviting trouble😡.The whole point is not about gender ,neither is about being abusive , its about resorting to physical violence when angry!!!
Would we have thought its right if Thakral had slapped Siddhi at the police station when he came to know of Rohit's death? He did have his reasons did he not ? But no that man held himself back and I appreciate him for that , to us he is evil but to himself he is just a dad who loves his kids a lot!!!
Tomorrow if Kunal hits Siddhi if she makes a huge mistake would we all still applaud it?😕
No we would not!!! Richa deserves punishment and perhaps psychiatry treatment let the concerned authorities do it , how Kunal can help is get her there!!!!😃

i am not saying it makes it alright just bec this hasnt been pointed out before, i am just saying that he has done it before too.

okay i may not be dead sure about this, but i think kunal did slap raveena in the past, i rem i had hated it,

As far as slapping witcha goes, well siddhi could have died and so could have kunal's unborn, if kunal had not reached the place on time. The worst could have happened. Not justifying Kunal, but all that must be going on in his mind when he got to the place and saved Siddhi from Witcha.

i am actually loving this discussion, everyone has put forward they thoughts etc and its fun reading different views.
