To Thakral Siddhi is Kunal's wife , he does not have a great opinion of her, to him she is a busy body, to him she was who came and threatened his son the day before.Besides Thakral just did not witness Rohit a second away from getting killed by Siddhi. Actually it's even worse ,he saw his son lay dead and cold in a police mortuary!!Some reaction are simply natural. Rohit and Daddy T have slapped Richa and I didn't think anything was wrong there.

@ red bold - I hope you are not calling Richa's attempt of killing Siddhi is similar to a huge mistake. I believe Richa is away from any treatment as she has lost it completely but is Kunal there to get her help or protect his own.Slapping will protect his own? Will that stop Richa ?It would have just aggravated her more!

Again what Kunal did is a natural reaction, nothing wrong in that. no way in hell I agree with violence, but what I saw today was neither abusive or violent.

That's what I am asking? Is Kunal suppose to go to Richa and lecture her on how she was a second away from killing his wife and baby.
What he did was very human. Just tell me how do you stop such evil forces? Yes this is not going to stop Richa, but was Kunal just suppose to take this and just for the sake of being a gentleman stand there? What does it say about him being a husband, to-be father or just s human who may simply lecture someone who tried to kill his loved once?

Well then we have a beautiful world don't we? Where just because we think someone is evil we have the right to slap them and teach them a lesson😡 What is this definition of evil that you are throwing around so callously? How are you sure Richa is "evil"? Where do you draw the line?

Yes no religion allow man hitting woman but all religion allow violence when it is necessary. You can not finish evil forces by fancy words. If Kunal would have simply lectured Richa, I would be writing million e-mails to CVs for portraying him like a nancy.

What Kunal should have done is taken his very irresponsible wife away from there and gone straight home 😡 I would have respected him a lot more because I would have known that as a man swayed by intense emotion, his heart in his chest at the thought of probably losing his wife and child, he still controlled himself 👏 Do you know how hard that is? It is very easy to slap someone and get rid of your frustrations, because honestly that slap accomplished nothing.

What Kunal did was a normal human reaction. I am not saying this just because I am a man; I would also enjoy if Siddhi or Raveena slap Rohit. It is right when it is right and you don't need to go on discussing it.

Girls, how many of us can control our instincts in a situation like Kunal's today? Honestly, I would have done the same thing he did..would not think about how best to treat richa but give her a nice tight slap first before thinking.. That doesn't mean I am not principled and prone to violence.. If I cannot control my instincts in such a situation, can't expect Kunal to.. If it would have been any other way, I would have hated Kunal today

Well said.. Both the scenarios were different.. Kunal's reaction may not have been "gentleman-like" (which itself is a vague concept) but it is absolutely unfair to call him abusive.

I dont think it was termed abusive, It was just found inappropriate and perhaps sending out a wrong signal to all those people with a inclination for violence!!

I can actually imagine this scene , wife watching Parichay applauding Kunal when he slapped Richa , husband with slight abusive tendencies watches this.Later a fight erupts and husband slaps wife and wife questions' Aapko sharam nahi aata , aurat pe haath utathe ho' , husband says ' Kyune tere hero jab kar raha tha toh khoob has rahi thi'😆 I am not saying all of us will do this, but there are people who may, why be responsible for a scene like this in some household when we can very well refrain from it!!!😕 TV is a social medium whether we like it or audience do take away a message everytime every scene!!!

His slap was nt intentional it was juz instant reaction

@bold: If Thakral slapped Siddhi in jail after seeing his son's dead body would you still have excused it as unintentional, instinctive?
And you are right this scene is not comparable with the Thakral jail scene because there Thakral son was laying dead , here Siddhi was alive and kicking!!!!😉

Bad analogy. Kunal did not slap his wife nor did he slap richa to exert his masculinity. He slapped richa when she tried to kill his wife. And a man who could take that out of context into slapping his wife; would then want to slap his wife on seeing any person A slapping person B independent of genders

One quest
Is this debate that a man is shouldnt hit a girl or is this a debate that no he should be slapped?

Yes I would have excused him and btw thakral did violate siddhi emotionally and psychologically by the words he used. But I didnt hold it against him given the scenario

There we differ I would not have excused Thakral , be it him or Kunal raising hands is not acceptable!!!And honestly as a female I never felt empowered when Siddhi raised her hand on Rohit , yea adrenaline rush is there that instant but immediately does the thought set in tha I would have preferred an intelligent counter attack rather!!😉
