Khushi was lying on a stretcher, her hand still in Arnav's hand, her eyes never leaving his. "I will be by your side always, Khushi. I promise, I will never leave your side. I will be right here, waiting for you, sweetheart. I will not let anything happen to you", Arnav said, as he and the hospital attendants pushed the stretcher into the operating room. A tear rolled down his cheek as her hand finally slid out of his. His heart was breaking seeing the desperation and pain in her eyes. He touched the glass on the door, as the doors to the operating room closed and the light above turned red. He pressed his face against the door and tears rolled down his cheeks, as he closed his eyes; No, Khushi, I can't lose you. I can't live without you. He opened his eyes, turned around and ran. He ran and finally stopped in front of the idol of the smiling goddess at the end of the corridor. His eyes filled with tears, he brought his hands together. I have always decided my own fate; but I don't know what to do now. Arnav Singh Raizada has never begged in front of anyone before, but today, I am begging you, begging you to save my Khushi; she is my life. I know you can save her life; you helped me save her from the kidnapper. I know you can save her life; I believe you! I believe in your power! Please, please save my Khushi; I can't live without her! He closed his eyes, tears streaming down his face as he said a silent prayer. That is how the Raizada family found him; his hands together, eyes closed, tears streaming down his face, praying for his wife's life in front of Devi Maiyya.

Anjali put her hand on Arnav's shoulder. Arnav opened his eyes; a tear rolled down his cheek as he hugged her. "Di, Khushi...". He closed his eyes and hugged her tight. She hugged him back. Then she pulled away from the hug and put her hands on his arms. "Chotte, you are alright! I was so worried when I heard.. " Arnav wasn't listening to her. He looked up as Shyam walked up to him, behind Anjali. He pushed Anjali's hands away and turned to Shyam. "You .. how dare you!" Then he felt someone touch his shoulder. He turned around to see NK; NK shook his head. Arnav was surprised; but before he could say anything, Anjali had grabbed his arm, her voice trembling. "Hai Devi Maiyya, Chotte, you are injured. You should get your wounds looked at." He shook his head, and took her hand in his. "No, Di. I'm fine. Khushi needs me. I will not, I cannot.. I cannot leave her side. I promised her that I would never leave her side." A tear rolled down Anjali's cheek and she controlled her tears, urging him to see the doctor. But Arnav refused; the other family members quietly stood watching the brother and sister. But then Anjali's face became furious. She grabbed his arms and said, her voice filled with anger. "Khushi, Khushi, Khushi. Stop saying her name! She doesn't deserve your love. So stop this right now and listen to me!" Arnav looked at Anjali, shocked. Anjali's face softened, her eyes filled with tears; she touched Arnav's face and said, "Chotte, I know you love her, but she deceived you; she deceived all of us. She was after your money, Chotte. Khushi doesn't love you!" Arnav's eyes widened in shock. "Di, what..?" Then his eyes met Shyam's; Shyam had an evil grin on his face.

Arnav looked away from Shyam as Mami walked to him and said, "Yes, Arnav bitwa. I can't believe I fell for her fake tears". Arnav listened, his heart breaking hearing how Khushi had gone to detectives and to the airport to find video footage; how she and Mami had broken into the storage room to find the video footage and she had cried when she saw his face on the footage; Khushi had even risked getting caught when she went back to get the video footage. They had gone to drug stores and how Khushi had kidnapped herself to find Arnav; how heart broken she had seemed when she got home that day. Mami had wanted to tell everyone at home, but then they had received a call about how Arnav would be killed if they would tell anyone about the kidnapping; of course, Khushi didn't want Arnav to get hurt, Mami continued, how else would she take revenge on him! She explained how Khushi had been persistent, even when Mami warned her it was risky. She continued to explain how they had found the tattoo guy's house, how he had threatened her with a gun. "I can't believe I saved her that day. I should have let him kill her that day!" Arnav's eyes widened with shock. Mami continued telling him about how they had found the new location and how Khushi had almost run after the kidnappers when they saw him being taken away; a tear escaped Arnav's eyes.

"I should have known, not to trust her! But, NK bitwa, you tell Arnav bitwa, you also fell for Khushi's drama, didn't you?" Arnav looked at NK, who nodded, but before he could say anything, Anjali interrupted and put her hands on his arms. "Chotte, I would never have believed any of this, even when he(Shyam) said that Khushi was after your money, but then I remembered how Khushi had asked me for 2 lakhs, saying that she wanted to give it to some school near Buaji's house. Then Payalji told me that there was no such school near their house. Chotte, she also lied to me yesterday when she told me she was going to a trustee's meeting, but then he(Shyam) showed me the property papers that she had signed, to get hold of some property that you had purchased. Chotte, I don't want you to get hurt, let us go." Nani also walked up to him and touched his arm, her eyes filled with tears. "Chotte, listen to your Di". Arnav shook his head. "Di, you don't understand. I can't, I can't leave.. " He stopped, as he saw Payal walk to Anjali's side. He pushed Anjali's hands away and turned to Payal. Payal's face was pale; her eyes red from crying. "Payal, don't worry. I am here for Khushi. I will not let anything happen to her. I promise, Payal, I.." Payal looked up at Arnav's face, her face furious. "Don't even say her name, Arnavji. Don't! I feel like I never knew her. The Khushi I knew would never.. would never.." A tear rolled down Payal's face and her face softened. But she wiped that tear and continued, angrily. "Khushi never told me why she got married to you, even though I begged her to tell me. Now I know! I can't believe it. Chee. I can't believe she is my sister. I don't want such a sister. She is dead to me and to my family. We loved her, we gave her so much love; and all she ever did was bring disgrace to our family." Payal turned away and Akash put his arm around her.

Arnav took few steps back, his heart filled with pain. Payal thinks Khushi married me for my money; she married me to save Payal's marriage. He closed his eyes; Oh, Khushi, you suffered so much because of me, because I forced you to get married to me, because I thought you and Shyam... and you were always innocent. You suffered all that for me, so that nothing would happen to my Di; so that my Di wouldn't lose faith in marriage. Everyone abandoned you then; you were all alone. Even I.. he remembered how he had thrown her out of his room on their suhaag raat and then later, "In this room, you have made my life hell", he had said to her. Khushi! he wanted to scream; he couldn't bear the pain; he couldn't believe how much pain she had suffered, because of him! He opened his eyes, no Khushi, this time you are not going to be alone. I will support you. I will be with you. I will stand by you. I will never leave your side, like I promised you, sweetheart. The bell rang in front of Devi Maiyya!

Arnav's thoughts were interrupted, as Anjali grabbed his wrist. "Chotte, come, let's go home." Arnav looked at her, his face furious. He pushed her hand away and stepped back. He shook his head, "No Di, I'm sorry. But I will not come back to Shantivan, not without my wife". Anjali looked at him, her eyebrows raised, a horrified look on her face. She took a few steps back. Shyam looked at her and said, "Rani Sahiba.." Anjali put her hand on her mouth, burst into tears, turned around and ran. Shyam looked at Arnav, their eyes met; he gave an evil smirk; his face changed to sadness quickly and he ran after Anjali. Arnav's hands doubled into fists as he watched Shyam. Nani, Mami, Payal and Akash turned around and followed Shyam, without saying anything else to Arnav.

There was a hand on Arnav's shoulder; he turned to see NK. NK took his hand off Arnav's shoulder and said, "Nanav, I don't know what to believe. Khushiji convinced me that Shyam was behind your kidnapping". Arnav listened in awe as NK explained how Khushi had found the blood stain on Shyam's shoe and determined that it was Arnav's blood, how she had walked into Shyam's room and accused him and how she had convinced NK that Shyam was behind the kidnapping. He also explained about the passport and boarding pass. "But then, Khushiji started acting weird". He explained how he had seen Shyam and her together at the temple. "I didn't know why she was talking to Shyam, when she had convinced me he was the kidnapper." NK put his hand on Arnav's arm, "Nanav, I believed her because I saw her love for you. Her tears, it broke my heart, Nanav. She was a different person; she was not the Khushiji I knew. She was genuinely upset, Nanav; she was really going crazy; she was persistent; she was determined to find you". A tear escaped Arnav's eye. NK shook his head, "I want to believe she is innocent, but then why did she take the money from Di? Why did she sign those papers? I don't believe Shyam, but he made it sound so convincing when he explained how he had found out that Khushiji was after your property. He told everyone that he knew the lawyer Khushiji met and he had gotten access to the property papers. I don't know why she signed those papers. I couldn't defend her earlier today, because I knew no one would believe me. Why would they? Khushiji convinced me that Shyam was behind your kidnapping, but Shyam convinced everyone that she was after your property and worse, everyone believed him. I'm sorry, Nanav, that is why I thought it was not a good idea for you to accuse Shyam in front of everybody. I'm sorry again, Nanav, I couldn't defend Khushiji, because I don't know if I believe her myself, even though my heart wants to believe her." Arnav nodded; he understood what NK was going through. "But Nanav, if you believe that she is innocent, then she must be innocent. I'm there for you, for you and Khushiji." Arnav hugged NK. When they pulled away, Arnav touched NK's shoulder. "NK, please, please take care of Di. I don't want anything to happen to her. I made her cry. But my Khushi, she doesn't deserve this; she needs me, she has no one else. I can't leave her alone. NK, please make sure Shyam doesn't hurt Di. Please take care of Di and her baby. Promise me, NK". NK nodded, hugged Arnav and walked away. Arnav looked at the idol of the smiling goddess and walked back to the operating room.

Anjali wiped her tears, as she sat in the car and put her head on Shyam's shoulder. He put his arm around her. Chotte, I will not forgive Khushi. She has deceived you and now you believe her more than me, your own sister. My own husband lied to me because of her. Anjali never told Shyam that she had seen him walk away with Khushi, when he had told her that he was going for work; she never asked him why he had lied to her. I will never be able to forgive her, for what she did to you, for what she did to me! I hate her!
