Contrary to my prediction, I guess the interpretation of Madhu's dream was not the fact that she had any inherent desires to become a film actress but the fact that her deep bond with her sister made her subconsciously also fuse with Trishna's thoughts and dreams —– during the dance sequence we saw the transition from Trishna to Madhu in one smooth movement which meant that they both were two bodies with one soul in Madhu's mind. The episode mainly focused upon depicting the contrasts in both the sister's characters——Trishna on one hand glamorous, vivacious , caring , but wanting in common sense and brains —-while Madhu , simple , subdued overly protective of her family and intelligent to boot ! While Trishna didn't think twice about resorting to devious methods of manufacturing a lie and a mark-sheet proving she had passed her 1st year to her mother ( albeit to spare Padmini from the grief of hearing about her failure) —–the upright Madhu on the other hand was unable to bear this blatant conning of her mother and convinced Trishna to confess the truth to Padmini , even at the expense of temporarily hurting her.
Padmini's calm composure while informing her friend that Trish was ready for marriage gave us the impression that she had mentally prepared herself for something like this, but nonetheless Trish's lies came as a rude shock to her —-just as rude a shock was Padmini's decision to marry off her daughter to some stranger , to the rest of the family including Trish. Trish could see all her hopes and dreams of becoming a famous movie star being dashed with her mother's mention of marriage , but her pleas for Padmini to reconsider fell upon deaf ears. I'm guessing that Madhu will intervene on her sister's behalf and get her off the hook as always. Looking forward to seeing whether Madhu will succeed in her efforts to deter Padmini from proceeding with matrimonial plans for Trishna or not.
