The 6 o'clock alarm buzzed and extracted a groan from her. Irritated, she tried to swat the clock like a fly. As soon as she succeeded, it dawned upon her why she'd set that alarm up in the first place and sat up with a jerk, but immediately regretted. For severe pangs of pain shot up her head making her squeeze her eyes shut. Banging her silly head against her knee with the hope to shoo the pain away only helped making it worse. Whining, she gave up.
"No, I cant let go so easily",she said thinking about Akash. Her classes would begin in an hour and she needed to get herself ready. Gathering as much of energy that was left of her she got off the bed. And it came again, making her regret her action for the second time in five minutes. Pain shot up all through her body right from the tip of her toes. She felt abnormally weak. She grunted remembering her hours of classical dance training the last night and made a mental goal to make Vijay pay for it. Later. For now a steady walk to the bathroom was proving difficult. She looked at the watch again and calculated. "Just fifteen minutes more of sleep should not harm anything", she decided and propped back on the bed hoping to feel better when she woke up next time.
[Uday's pov]
With excitement brimming his heart, he entered the palace, trying to make a faint mental guess work of what his princess had in store for him today. There was no denying that hunting, horse riding, racing and even hooking up random girls didn't have a stand anywhere near the free, most enticing roller-coaster ride his jungli billi offered him everyday. Hopping up the stairs, he stood before her room and hesitated with the knob. He glanced at his watch once to make sure he didn't disturb her sleep, after all, she had tiring schedules these days. The clock showed 11 am. Satisfied, he turned the knob and made his way inside, deliberately avoiding to knock, just to ignite her oncoming fire a few notches more.
But neither did an irritated, high-pitched slang reach his ears nor was anything projected towards him. Searching through the room, his vision fixated on the bed where lay the reason for the peace and silence. Half on the bed, half on the floor lay his sleeping beauty.
He felt it impossible to avert his eyes from the angelic, semi-conscious form that was spread across left half of the bed. Rested on her arm was her heart-shaped face whose every inch reflected innocence. The sun's rays fell beautifully on her pearly-white skin making it glow as if it were embedded with diamonds. Beautiful curves of her golden-brown locks brushed her tender cheeks periodically with the gentle wind. Before he could counter, a slow smile made its way upto his face. Warmth radiated from his heart and sent tingles throughout his entire body just at the mere sensation of her passive presence.
Suddenly, Unnati's words clouded his mind," Dada you are falling for her." He had quite convincingly shrugged her words off that day but now he was finding himself incapable of doing so. Dismissing the train of thoughts somehow, he walked over to the other side of the bed and hesitated whether to correct her abnormal posture. He couldn't seem to trust his own actions. A few days earlier he would have swiftly done what he was hesitating over now. He deserved. After all she was destined to be his. Shaking his head to free it from the recurring irritating thoughts, he finally slid one of his arms under her knees while the other gripped her torso. Her touch was doing weird things to his body, electrocuting each fiber of his being. Carefully resting her head on her pillow, he sat at the edge of the bed as his eyes heartily drank all her beauty. Her little chest rose and fell with her each tiny breath. Her spotless white neck lulled his lips to touch it, feel its soft texture. Her face was half illuminated by the falling rays of the sun. It seemed as if her face itself was the source of the radiance that the sun reflected, not the other way round. His hands itched to rest against her soft cheeks. It felt as if the gravity was wholly concentrated on that little area. Closing his eyes, he let out a deep sigh he did not realize he was holding, as his hand made its way to her rosy cheek. With his eyes closed, it felt as if he was caressing a rose petal instead of a human cheek. His struggling lips leaned forwards and planted a kiss on her marble-smooth forehead. Finally giving in to his inner-battle, his lips formed the words. "I've fallen for you, princess. Real deep."
