SS-1CONFESSING TO THE NIGHT(Part-one)All she had wished for was power. Fame. A life full of luxury and devoid of compromises. That was all she had yearnt for when her life revolved round the deprived orbit of poverty. She was no exception for being materialistic, for having wished to live a life of perfection, the life of a princess of one of the richest surviving royalties, Devgarh. And it was as if her life changed at the speed of light the moment she made that wish.
Today, standing at the balcony of her rightful palace, the Devgarh palace, she could not recall how long it took to be transformed into a Yuvraani from a common chawl-dweller. She could not retrace her existence back to her old life, could not find a trace of her rustic personality upon scrounging her now complicated soul. She could not recall her old self. All she remembered was making the wish. It felt as if one moment she made the wish and the next moment she was transported to some parallel world where her soul belonged to a completely different girl who had different motives and purpose of living. She was now a yuvraani, someone who could think and live for everyone but herself. That was only a part of the countless compromises and sacrifices it took her to own the so called ideal life she longed for. Little did her silly old self give thought to the price she would have to pay to make such a wish come true.
She gripped the cold metal rods of the moonlit balcony tighter and looked up at the sky, the infinite spread of blackness adorned with sparkling tiny stars. The slow blowing breeze made light strands of her hair dance almost rythmically. A solitary tear rolled down her cheek, irradiated by the silvery moonlight, as thoughts started to invade and haunt her already heavy and burdened mind. Her old self accused her of changing so drastically, of forgetting the ones who once mattered the most to her. Sure, she did not actually forget them, she could still promptly recall their names: Chikki, Soni and Akash. But she could no longer grasp their importance in her life. She knew she was supposed to remember them but could not decipher why they were worth remembrance. A new tear followed as her supposed love, Akash's name did not trigger feelings of love in her heart anymore, as she could not take relishment in the happy retrospects she shared with him, as the thought of his loss no longer made her heart pang with grief and despair. She was indeed forgetting him.
Instead, at the thought of love, there was only one face her heart pictured now. Prince Udayveer Singh.

Okay, thats it for now. Sorry if it didnt make sense. In the next part all her thoughts will be possessed by Uday. And as the title suggests, its about her confession to herself and the solitary night...or maybe someone else ;)
Anyway, have a good night!
