Settling for 'Cocktail', not 'Love Aajkal 2'

Dinesh Vijan is elated! "The response to the promo and first look poster of COCKTAIL has been incredible. The viewers are reacting so so so positively. I was confident that the promo would be well received, but the fantabulous feedback is beyond my comprehension," Vijan, who produces COCKTAIL with actor Saif Ali Khan, just can't stop grinning from ear to ear.

Not many know that the makers were initially toying with the idea of calling the film LOVE AAJKAL 2, but decided to settle for COCKTAIL. LOVE AAJKAL 2 would've helped create a brand, so why didn't Saif and Vijan go ahead? "LOVE AAJKAL was about love aaj [today] and kal [yesterday]. It narrated two stories. We didn't want to send out wrong signals by calling it LOVE AAJKAL 2 simply because this is a contemporary film. It narrates just one story, a story of today. Besides, COCKTAIL is one of the most oft-used words. Even a non-English speaking guy is well aware of it. It has its own identity, just like the three characters in my film," Vijan reasons.

COCKTAIL is confirmed for release on 13 July, thus quashing all rumors that the film won't make it on the scheduled date.

Only Name is changed, movie is giving the Same look of Love Aaj Kal, only difference is Saifu is playing 1 role now.

Haha! well i agree it looks familiar to LAK but i guess it wont be, the treatment of this movie seems completely different. Also i didnt really like LAK with all its flash backs and all. Atleast this would be a proper story moreover Veronica is soo much hotter than boring Meera anyday! 😉

In this movie also, More praise is coming for Deepika than Saifu or diana... if u look at both the movies trailer, u will find the same kind of similarity... love aaj kal trailer was also like this only...
