I remember reading a line in Khalil Gibran's " The Prophet", where the villagers ask the Prophet about his views on children —-

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. "

Yesterday's episode reminded me of the aptness of these few lines in the context of the difference of opinion between the Sr. Shindhiyas and their sons. The Sr. Shindhiyas seem to be hell bent upon ruining their own son's life just to satisfy their own false pride and warped sense of vanity. Instead of being proud of having such an upright and righteous son like Yash they choose to focus only on the fact that he defied them, albeit for noble reasons , and in order to punish him for this ,they decided to take away his latest gift/toy —–his new wife and son ! God help all children if their parents begin to think like the Sr. Shindhiyas ( Parents behaving like petulant children in my pov). Seeing the maturity and sensibility of the Shindhiya brothers , I would like to advise Papa and Momma Shindhiya with another quote from the same prose which says , "You may strive to be like them (your children), but seek not to make them (your children) like you. "
The senior Shindiyas surely need to loosen up and learn about goodness, commitments and responsibility from their kids !
I'm maha happy that the Shindhiya-Dubey convo took place in the presence of the Pankaj and Prakeet and their respective wives , which means that all these facts will reach Yash's ears at some point . Prateek being privy to his parents' convo earlier is also a boon , as we all know of Prateek's special bond and feelings for Yash and Aarti. That's why the ensuing discussion regarding Pankaj and Prateek's decision to stop Aarti and Ansh's exit from the Shindhiya house was heart warming.
So now Dame G has been appointed as Suraj Pratap's official spokesperson !—– informing the Dubeys about their pre-condition and taking all the credit for arranging the ransom money —-poor Yash ! I wish Dame G wouldn't be so dense and could learn to read between Buaji's malicious lines——i.e. how much she wants to re-marry . Maybe getting her remarried is the only way we could all be rid of this thorn in Aarti's and our sides .
All in all , it was a brilliantly executed episode with the right amount of emotions and not too much melodrama —-waiting eagerly to see the action packed dhamakedar episode tonight.
