I watched the show today and could not describe the absolute disgust for the many people that made women go through such a horrible phase. The woman who literally had her face bitten off because she gave birth to two girls was the worst. Damn, I felt for her. The picture of her after the surgery was heart-wrenching.

Even I was surprised to know female foeticides happen largely with the educated crowd. It was such a contrast to the girl on the street who gave birth to a girl and is leading a happily married life with her husband as well. So sad to see that a family of doctors and professors could commit such a crime.

Hats off to Aamir Khan! The man truly deserves to be saluted for his efforts. The episode felt so raw and inspiring.

What really bothered me, is that women themselves are biased towards their own gender. Why is it so difficult for people to get it through their thick head that without women/girl you won't have boys either. The sad fact is that gender based abortion is not only limited to India but its happening here in Canada also.
