This is my first attempt to write an OS on Virat-Manvi.Hope that you people will find it entertaining!
*deep breath*
Here I go!
The 'Last' Kiss..
Virat Vadhera had a special quality which none of the members of the Vadhera family tree ever had-he never broke down when he had to.Virat was an expert in hiding his emotions and plastering a smile on his face.
He thought no one ever would get to know his inner turmoil when he smiled.But the bitter fact was that,she understood it more clearly than himself.
Virat's deep brown eyes were fixed on the petite form of his Manvi-his partner,his bandariya,his ded futiya.
Virat still remembered Manvi's naughtiness,her acts which were always effective in bringing a smile to his ever solemn face.
Manvi filled his black and white life with colurs.She brought into his life the same warmth and happiness which he had lost over the ages.Virat sighed as Manvi gestured him to come near to her.
Virat sat on the wooden stool beside her bed and tried to mask his pain of going to lose her forever with a smile,but failed ,this time-miserably!
"Hey chep!"she said in a hoarse voice that was meant to be cheerful.
Virat took her hand which was now full of blotches in his and placed a tender kiss on her fingers.
He looked at Manvi who smiled despite her constant effort not to cry-in front of him!
Virat said,"I don't want you to go Manvi!"
Manvi lifted her trembling hand and placed it on his cheek.A thousand watts current passed through Virat when her ice-cold palm made contact with his warm skin.
"Neither do I,Virat.I want to spend eternity with you!But this cancer..It's eating my life and my wishes!"She whispered with all her strength she could muster up.
Virat let his tears roll down freely as Manvi wiped those salty crystals.
"Don't you dare give me a teary farewell!"she said in a threatening tone as silent sobs exploded from every corner of the room currently filled with Viren-Jeevika,Swamini,Dadaji,Vanshika,Inder,Kadhambari,Shlok,Beeji,Madan,Pinky and Dabbu.
Virat looked deep into her pitch-black eyes knowing that this would be the last time he could do so before Manvi was placed in an incubator-declaring the end of her life.And then,he heard her whisper,"Kiss me."
Virat cupped her face and placed his lips over her.He slowly bit her lower lip making her part her petals.He pushed his tongue into her mouth to meet hers as Manvi gave herself to him completely.
It was sheer bliss for both of them-their first and their last kiss.The taste of each other's lips got mixed soon with saltiness as they pulled apart panting hard and tears rolling down.
Manvi smiled through her tears and so did Virat.
"I love you Virat"she whispered silently as he heard a beep sound announcing her departure forever.
Never in his life had Virat thought that these four words which he yearned to hear from her his entire life would give him this pain!
Swamini placed a comforting hand on Virat's shoulder as he looked up at her and forced a smile indicating that 'he knew it was bound to happen'.
After placing a final kiss on her cold lips,Virat ignited fire to her pyre with a heavy heart that his life would be back to where he had started it.
"I love you Manvi!"he declared before he jumped into the fire he had ignited hoping to join her in heaven, earning shrieks of horror from the mourning crowd.
Virat embraced death with a beautiful grin on his face and looking at the garlanded photo of his Manvi which Jeevika held in her hand.
Afterall,death did not seem so bad to him!
