D3 is not swell at the moment, that much I figured. Furthermore I did not even watch it yesterday, but I made out I had signed up for this and managed to come up with some sensible stuff soon enough. So, here's our discuss of the week.

PS. I mention Sharon does not mean this is SwaRon-based. This discussion is for ALL of us. 😳

I'm gonna share with you my favorite facet of the show. That's Sharon. Not SwaRon, not the dance, not any other couple, simply Sharon. 😳

Sharon - She's real to me, she makes sense, she is just about everything I am. The only difference could be that I am worth two Sharons with respect to our legit weights. 😆 She's vulnerable, sentimental and her guard is never down, she's clever enough never to divulge what she really is, and sadly, sometimes she even has a problem figuring out what her actions mean. She's more relative than we give her the credit for. She has an asymmetrical character and she does happen to be a bitch, like a lot of us. Nobody is as sugary as their TV-heroine-counterparts suggest and Sharon is the biggest anecdote for that. 👍🏼

I was thinking I would give a couple of more favorite attributes but my head isn't working. I might give em when we discuss.

So, right -

What is/are your favorite facet of D3, something or somebody you find really relative cause only that can mostly result in as high a regard as most of us have for the show? Possibly, give one real and one super unreal reason for the same.

For me also Sharon is the best USP of D3 after its dance. A female lead character who is so unlike any lead character in telly world. A character whose attitude and confidence bordering near arrogance can easily make anyone love to hate her but still can't make them possible to ignore her. For a guy like me her badass image is endearing. She is someone who has so many layers of covers over herself that anyone is automatically tempted to know her.
One of my favourite fictional character once said - 'world is not divided in good and bad people.We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are'. No one represents this quotes better than Sharon . She could be the meanest person around but still know where to draw the line . She defines the term 'grey' .

Apart from Sharon i think dance is the other major asset of D3 . Lately D3 may be missing its old charm and all the dance battles which was more a representation of david vs goliath or underdog achieving sucess. But still lets face it great dance performance presented in form of a story was the first thing which attracted us to D3 and kept us hooked. Favourite pair or person all came later.

Mine too - Sharon.

Definately the most complex character in Indian TV ( atleast outta the stuff I've seen )

I mean, where most of the characters are either your too-good-to-be-true girls and guys.. or the scheming-jobless vamps.. Sharon comes as your perfect ( lol, perfectly imperfect) character, as close to reality as possible..!!

She's arrogant, spoilt , can make someone's life hell! yet she's all vulnerable.. she makes it seem as though all her arrogance is just a pretence, a facade of sorts to ensure that she never gets hurt in anyway!

Post Footlose loss, Rey told Swayam that whenever Sharon is in a mess or something, she goes to the terrace 'cause she feels there's nothing left in the world anymore..

So basically, she isn't stone hearted.. clearly, she's had many tough phases too!

Yeah so basically all of that.. and what everyone else said =P

Pretty much Sharon ;)

Then the 2nd most endearing thing about D3 to me is Rey-Sharon's friendship !!

That;s what really got me hooked into D3!!

I loved loved loved their effortless chemistry.. it was this charm they both had!! =*

their friendship was barely explained or established.. 'cause they've been friends from childhood.. but somehow it didn't even need to be !!

Theirs came across as the warmest relation to me , which wasn't out of any need or anything.. it was just there !!

and plus CVs did a mega favour by never putting any triangle in that equation.. 'cause eventually dil and dosti mein dil always wins =@

So yeah..

Sharon and Sharey.. two of my favourites in D3 = )

So, you quote Sirius Black anonymously, who do you think you are? I know an HP quote when I read one, 'one of my favorite characters . . .' sounds challenging for some reason. 🤔😆

They've got an ensemble of passionate dancers in the show, so yeah, dance's like the thing with D3, sometimes it's way beyond being the third attribute of the show, it's more like some sorta inspirational stuff going on there. For instance, Kria's love for dance is nothing more or less than inspiring. :)

@Sharon: Copy that.

@Sharon and Rey: They haven't been developed, I dun feel any connection, whatsoever. It's like as long as Kria was there, Rey was busy swooning over her and vice versa, and his friends could go to hell, turns out he admits that. Anyhow, you're right when you say that Sharon and Rey's friendship is just there, doesn't have a reason as to essentially why. The ONLY time I felt the friendship makes sense was during India Fest. Twas real concern and twas nice to watch. :)

Yeah i agree lately Sharon's character is getting confusing. I think CV's are not able to decide how to take her character forward. They are not able to think how to make her character maintain that attitude of hers and still be friendly with everyone. Or they are not able to make up the mind that they should make Sharon's character completely to miss goody shoes due to Swayam's love or to keep her the way she is. Thats why we can see extreme swings in her character these days.

And regarding quoting Sirius what to do i will remain a marauder ( or say HP fan) at heart . I generally try to avoid but still use HP quotes randomly now and then.😊

Dude, dun misunderstand me. I um, quote HP five times a day, more actually. You quote HP, that's AWESOME. You say 'one of my favorite characters', that's challenging. 😆

As for Sharon, I dunno, maybe, albeit thing is they never show us what she feels, that's one problem. The only time I could see what she feels is when she cried her eyes out in her car after the Shivam fiasco. Or once before in the scrapbook scene, but that's that. Her character development has been really nice, I will give the writers that, but now, it does not really seem to move any further.
