Arnav immediately opened the envelope. It was a really long letter. He at once recognized her handwriting. He began to read at once.

Arnav Singh Raizada,

When you will get this letter I will long be gone. Do not worry because I left after finishing of our contract. So you cannot sue me. If you are worried that I took any of your possessions with me, just discard this thought. I am not taking anything which belongs to you with me. My MS and your Maa's kangans are in your locker. I am only taking those clothes, jewelery and shoes which were intially mine. Those which were bought here are lying in the wardrobe. All the jewelery given to me by Nani and Di is also in your locker. See, I am not a gold digger like you called me.

He was also the guy I got engaged to. But at that time I did not know he was your sister's husband because he used to avoid all encounters with me somehow. As soon as I knew, I broke off the engagement. I wanted to tell you but I knew you would never trust me. So I did not. That day when you saw us on terrace, I thought you had called me upstairs to say something. But it turned out to be him. The person I hated the most!

I am leaving right now but I know that I owe you a great sum of money. That's why I had started the Dabba service and teaching kids. But don't worry as soon as I get enough money I will be repaying you.

Arnav was shocked. He was paralyzed. What had he done to an innocent girl??? He thought of something and went downstairs almost running:

A: Di!! Di!! Where are you??

D: What is it Chotte?? Why are you shouting??

A: Have you seen Khushi??

D: She went to visit her mom yesterday but I did not see her afterwards. BTW where is she??

A: If I knew, would I be asking you??

He went to his SUV amd drove to Guptas. Garima opened the door.

A: Have you seen Khushi Amma??

G: No beta. She left yesterday. Why?? Has she gone somewhere??

A: She is not at home.

Arnav came back home and told everyone to meet him in the sitting area. He told them everything from the start and showed her letter around. Everyone was shocked after learning Shyaym's truth and the reason behind their marriage. Anjali got up from the sofa first and slapped him hard.

D: This is what I have taught you the whole life?? Never give anyone chance to explain themselves? This is what Ma taught you to treat women??

Nani too followed Anjali and slapped him hard.

N: This is what we taught you?? I thought you were at least a human but you are an animal!!!

Payal seized the front of his shirt and shook him hard.

P: My sister has done so much for you and your Di and this is what you give her back?? A sham of marriage?? You ruined her!! You are a beast. You are worse than Shayam.

It went on for days. Arnav was completely broken. He began search for her but never got any news. She seemed to have disappeared. He was feeling sick. He had sent Shayam to rot in the jail till his last breath and Di had turned out to be surprisingly strong about this issue. She hated him that day onwards. Arnav had hired top doctors for Bauji and he was recovering at a great pace. It was the only thing which made him feel human. He had buried himself in the work and no one bothered about him anymore.

Dadi had called Veer and asked him to come back for one week. She hadn't told him the reason. He was pretty confused as Dadi never called him back like this. Still he came as soon as he could manage.

He got the biggest shock of his life when he came to know that his long lost sister was back. At first he couldn't believe it. But when he saw her in real, standing in front of him, he had to believe it.

Khushi hadn't told Dadi anything about Dehli. But she had to tell it to her brother. He was extremely angry and sad after knowing what had happened to her. He literally wanted to kill ASR but Khushi made him stop.

Khushi had told him about the money she owed to the Raizadas. He had made arrangements to send the money to them almost at once. Khushi told him his bank account number so that the money could get transferred.

She wrote a letter as well explaining all the transactions she had owed to ASR. Later that week her brother made her get admission in BA, in a good reputed girls college in English literature as a major. He went back telling her to call him if anything bothered her.

AR, Dehli:

The phone rang. ASR picked up. It was from his bank. The manager had called him up to tell him that somebody had transferred the money to his account by the name of Veer Malik. He was surprised and shocked. Before he could answer the peon entered in his office and gave him a TCS post which came for him. Curious, he opened it and got shock of his life.

The letter said:

Mr Raizada,

The money transferred to your account was sent by me. I have returned all the money I ever owed you. Please have a look at the list below. I hope I have returned all. If not then consider that you gave the rest for charity.

These 500,000 include:

100,000 which I owed you after the breaking the 15 day contract with AR.

50,000 for the bump I gave your car with my bike in Lucknow.

30,000 for the bill you paid when Babuji was in the hospital.

300 which I loaned from you on Holi this year

The rest for Babuji's current hospitalization and other expenses.

I'll remind you again that I didn't take any of the gold your family gave me. It's all in your locker, even my MS.

Khushi Malik

After reading this letter ASR broke once again. He had been holding himself with very much difficulty but he could not hold it anymore so he rushed to his home and broke down. He had shown everyone that letter and the whole family went in a trance.
