NO…this was not happening. She can't jump off like that!!! for a moment he went numb thinking she did it because he had shouted at her! he felt so dman angry at himself. His life seemed to end that very moment!

She had a wide smile on her face while she jumped off. Her eyes were closed and everything went in a very slow motion for her. she felt she was falling too slowly! The free fall was so breathtaking. So this is what it felt to be free…to let go! No fear and no hesitation! Her hair flew upwards due to the force of air. She let herself loose….this was so damn awesome!

And the thought and belief that he'd be right there made it all the more exciting. She was a free bird. She felt so light…her heart felt even lighter.

She didn't realize when she hit the water below…she just smiled letting the feel sink into her. she didn't realize she wasn't able to breathe. She let herself sink…even the water felt as if it were playing with her skin.

Meanwhile, Rahul, Dan and jess stood scared, shocked and numb as to what happened! And before they could comprehend anything, they saw Maan jumping off the cliff.

She was going with the flow…she wasn't expecting anything or fearing anyone…Just letting her fate decide for her. Sometimes you just need to get to the extremes to realize the small things! She didn't even care about the fact that she was suffocated by the waters. She didn't want to either! But the water was taking a toll on her. it was not much deep and she didn't know how to swim.

She couldn't take the force and moreover the water from the falls created strong currents that hit her body almost ripping her apart. She knew this was not the end but it was unbearable now. She gave up and opened her mouth…she sank deeper and she let that happen without struggling! If this was the end…then she'd probably die! Huh! This was far better than hurting him! She simply gave up with a smile on her lips! Life was horrible and worthless without him.

She was about to hit the bed when a strong pair of hands held her tight and pushed her up. Her smile went wider…she got answers to her own questions. She knew with that touch itself that it was him!

He had to dive into the water to look for her. his heart was beating so fast…and a wave of relief passed through him when he found her…though sinking! He swam fast to reach her seeing her struggling to a breath. He held her waist and the 1^st thing he did was to push her up the surface so that she could breathe!

With one thrust of his, her body was out of water till her tummy! And there she felt it….her 1^st breath of life….1^st breath of fresh air! She slowly opened her eyes and looked down to see him slowly coming out of the water, sliding against her body, holding her tight…panting! Even she was!

As he leveled upto her height, he saw her smiling at him….a glow on her face he couldn't understand he wondered why was she this happy when he was almost dead! He was so mad at her for trying such stupidity!

Her eyes lingered over his face tracing the droplets of water, shining like pearls in the sun!

He pulled her and supported himself against a nearby rock that emerged out of the bottom and let her support herself against him! His feet touched the bottom lightly…but he held her closer as a precaution! The babbling of water against the rocks echoed in the silence for a while. When he finally caught his breath, he looked at her angrily!

Maan: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT GEET…YE KYA PAGALPAN THA? What are you trying to prove han? Did you even realize how much your stupidity would have cost….

And before he could continue, she leaned in and placed her lips over his taking in all that anger and complaints….

His body went motionless and his eyes, wider in shock! It took him some time to realize what just happened! A few seconds later, he could feel her cold lips against his! He didn't move…rather he was trying to get in ters with the things happening!

She parted with the realization that he wasn't responding back… she saw his dazed face…utterly confused! She cupped his face and traced her thumb against on his lips…

Geet: I love you too Maan…I love you!

And once again, her lips went to claim his. He was unable to believe his own ears…but her kiss was so soft and real. He was filled with such happiness…his grip around her waist tightened, almost crushing her bones! His lips slowly guided her inexperienced ones to a deep passionate kiss.

She felt as if a heavy burden was lifted off her heart as she followed his guide kissing him to no ends! Her hands snaked around his neck while she pushed herself on him! He opened his mouth to let her in..and she eventually did, though shy1 he groaned with the sensation that ripped through him with her first touch of love, almost biting her lips!!!

She was shy, happy, excited all at the same time! To feel him this close made her go insane! Pleasure jolted through her, her fingers entangled with his hair…she shivered with his closeness and probably for the cold water lashing on to them!

He had skipped numerous beats feeling her close to his heart. Her hungry tongue met his hungrier one…her world seemed to vanish! Only he was real….and true!

She broke out unable to breathe anymore. A blush crept on her cheeks and she looked down feeling shy! He pulled her in his arms making sure she was safe and alive! She placed her head on his chest hearing hs thudding beats…and suddenly it struck her! he wasn't wearing a shirt. She went breathless and bit her lips feeling conscious… feeling him bare and raw…every muscle carved into perfection. Maan played with her wet tresses.

Mana: why do you always scare the life out of me geet? Kyun karti ho ye sab?

She didn't reply…feeling ticklish in her abdomen, feeling him like this! And today there was no holding back and restlessness!!!

They heard Rahul shout by the back!

Rahul: if your cliff-jumping romance is done…can you two please come out of the water? Or do you plan to ruin our camp with hypothermia?

He had come down to check on the two crazy people crazy in love. Maan held her and reached the bank. There were many shiny smooth surfaced pebbles around. Geet picked a few and walked back to their site!

It was late night. ..The campfire slowly dying out. Geet sat by the stream looking at the stars. She was not feeling very good. When they had come back, she had probably thrown up a few times with the amount of water she had swallowed and was sleeping in the tent out of tiredness. Maan kept a strict eye on her.

there were 2 separate tents for boys and girls. Jess and others were fast asleep but she had lost her sleep. She sat in that dim light of the fire….lost in her own thoughts!

Maan turned restlessly…how could he sleep when he knew his shona was probably having a sleepless night! He came out to see her sitting alone like that. he went and sat beside her!

Maan: shona…what are you doing here alone?

She looked at him for a while and her eyes asked so many questions that he found it difficult to understand! A few minutes passed in silence. She took a deep breath in and moved on to his lap and placed her head on his shoulder. He wrapped her hands around her.

Maan: kis baat se pareshaan ho?

She snuggled closer, keeping her eyes fixed on the slow moving water.

Geet (slowly): why are you going away Maan? Like this? Without telling me?

He didn't react and neither of them moved. But his grip around her tightened. His eyes wrere still fixed on the waters!

Maan: so you knew all this while?

She nodded her head gently and a tear drop trickled down! He breathed in sharply.

Geet: I don't want you to go…away from me!

They could hear the babbling of the water against the rocks and the chirping crickets..

Geet: how am I supposed to live with you not being around to get me through the day? How…

Maan (cutting in): know what geet…its not easy for me either! To stay away from you…

He looked at the sky intently!

Maan: I haven't seen my mom and dad probably for the last five years! I had been in London since I was around 2-3. My parents lived with me. Dadima took care of everything in India and dad handled overseas…

She listened to him carefully without blinking her eyes!

Maan:….i was around 17. Dadima's health detoriated and doctor advised complete rest. Dad and mom moved back to India but I couldn't due to my high school graduation. So Dadima retired and moved here with me and dad took over the entire responsibility on his shoulders!

She still couldn't formulate why did he need to go away!

Maan:..and geet…to be honest..whatever I am today is just because of dad! He is the only person in this whole world whom I look up to! The respect he earned, his principles and all these years whatever he had done for me… its my dream to be with him…to carry that persona that he carries. I always had dreamed of being with him…and when he wants me to join him in India…it's like a dream come true! It's my responsibility too…my dream to make him proud…I can't and I don't want to run away!

She probably understood his situation now. Because she herself was in the same boat! Her mom expects a lot from her after her papa's death, though she doesn't show it! And she knew how it felt when all expectations are from you!

Maan: it's not like am choosing between you and dad geet… I can't even dream of staying away from you…but dad needs me too! Its like, just for the time being, am choosing my mom-dad before you!

Who will understand this better than her? she gave up her dream career for her mother… she couldn't see her suffer all alone! another tear escaped her eyes! She realized both were on the same boat though the situation that brought them together was entirely different! It was his dream…and she knows how painful it is when you realize your dreams are just mere dreams…THEY DON'T MAKE NOISE WHEN THEY BREAK…BUT THEY PAIN A LOT!

Maan: I didn't want to tell you anything fearing you might think me wrong, leaving you like this….

She placed her finger on his lips.

Geet: shhh…you are not wrong and I'll never ever think you wrong! Mere liye aap kabhi galat ho hi nahi sakte. Please don't hold back for me Maan… wo aapka sapna hain..mein aapke sapno ko tootne kaise de sakti hoon?

He looked at her surprised…a simple line meant so much to him…like he had been dying to hear it since ages..he could see that twinkle in her eyes which were so full of trust, hope and love for him! She gently leaned forwards and kissed his lips. It was then he realized, she was the one making the 1^st move…he felt lucky that she understood him so well yet was so amazed to see the trust she had on him, without any expectations! He chuckled and proved into her mouth deep, relishing her!

He parted and slid down to her neck placing soft kisses on her silky skin. He bit her naughtily…she gasped arching her back and he leaned closer, making her moan in pleasure!

She didn't know when she slept off on his lap. He wrapped his arms protectively around her…preventing that cold wind from touching her!

The next day was super fun. Morning started with a teasing session when the other 3 had found Maan sleeping peacefully against a rock and geet on his lap! They were so embarrassed.

They fished upstream, which was a difficult task though and geet explained cheekily how she felt falling freely! Maan glared at her but she ignored and continued with her experience! Rahul-jess romance went on while maaneet were lost in another deep thought!

They returned in the evening, tired and sleepy. Strangely, geet was quiet! She had put on her earplug, listening to music and never took part in any discussions. She kept looking out of the window all the while!

She recalled their night together in the camp when she had asked about his departures!

"in 3 days…' he had replied! Her heart sunk…she knew departure was inevitable but this soon? She never expected it to hurt her this bad at the end of the day! Somehow she managed to smile the whole day but she couldn't get that thought out of her mind. She closed her eyes pretending to sleep, trying to hide that pain!

Maan noticed the sudden "withdrawal" in her after returning back. it was already 2 days since they were back and he was to go away the very next day. Flight was in the evening. Most of the things had been shipped.

Somewhere he was breaking down and he guessed same must be with geet too. He tried to spend time with her and she bravely put up a a smile in front of him asking if he had forgotten anything, Dadima's health or carry on with her usual blabbering. He tried to talk about it but she avoided it thoroughly and tactfully cooking up some silly stories!

At night, he went to the attic to see if he they had missed out something. The next day was going to be a painful one. He sighed and looked around when he stepped on something. He saw an old dusty tape…he realized it was the same that he had seen when geet was there. Probably nakul had missed it while cleaning the broken vase. He thought it unnecessary and went ahead1 but he couldn't ignore it. It had something that pulled him back! he curiously picked it up and looked carefully. It had something written on it..the ink had smudged..it was too old! He kept it in his pocket and walked off. He had that feeling something important was contained in it!
