TOI: CID Veerta Awards on TV

Sony Entertainment Television instituted the CID Gallantry Awards in 2009 to honour the ourageous deeds of the common man and CID Veerta Awards 2011 Jalao Sahaas Ki Mashaal salutes the same spirit.

The event, hosted by Anoop Soni and Mona Singh, commenced with the recital of an inspiring poem by ACP Pradyuman and the CID team followed by a dance drama performed by Mouni Roy, Gurmeet Choudhary and Jai Kalra. There was also a humorous act performed by the CID team wherein the team tried to rescue Toasty (Aishwarya Sakhuja) from Gabbar Singh. This hilarious act had Dr Salunke as Gogo, Abhijeet as Bappi Lahiri dancing to Ooh La La with Taarika and Daya performing to Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo as the inimitable Don. ACP Pradyuman also danced to the tunes of Chammak Challo from Ra.One.
