I was a big fan of Iqbal khan in karma apna apna the show had excellent chemistry between the leads but when Iqbal left . I felt so cheated stopped watching.i later watched reruns of Kai's yeh pyaar hai. But I still feel Arnav and ASR are not like these characters..because a gad was a rebel bad boy...rocks tar. Not at all like ASR, similarly shiv in karma was shown a playboy mistreating women .. ASR is not like that he is never a playboy.. He is not a boy ..he is more mature with responsibilties trapped young man..

Arnav is the first true blue Indian mills and boon character that we are having . Others were harlequin blaze intrigue .. Arnav is harlequin presents or silhouette desire.. To each his own ..

It's wrong to say only SRk made it big in Bollywood irfan khan used to come in daddy role in banegi apni baat and he does strong character roles even vidya balan started. With hum paanch . Freda pinto used to come in a travel show in zee tv very forgettable..

Yeah true. But since we were discussing barun, I was thinking in terms of male actors in leading roles who made it big in BW. I don't think anybody from the small screen has reached SRK level in this respect.

I did watch Kaisa yeh pyaar hai and infact last year because I never understood the hype behind Angad and Kripa. But when I watched it - I could say the chemistry was goos but the story line sucked after a point of time.

However - ArHi are different. Angad and Kripa - if I may say cannot match what Arnav Khushi have. Also both characters are very different. Angad was a rebel - he was play boy - who did not respect anyone - he was practically a boy growing to be a man. Where as Arnav is already a matured man - just very very flawed. The traits are very different when I analyse both of them. Arnav will grow on to be become a flawless man - that will be his growth.

I do not have to say anything about Kripa - because she pissed me off so badly that I cannot even say! She is by far one of only characters that had been butchered sooo badly that I cannot say! Khushi on the other - I can never hate her - and that is because she remains true to her character - but whenever she does not also - its not to an extent which can make me hate her. Her character has been kept intact most of the times and that is her strength unlike Kripas!
