Dex, what did you do? Call Sriram up and complain about you having to pee so badly, but not being able to even as you danced away to Pungi? 😆
He agrees with the criticism on the length of Agent Vinod because,
"The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder"
So he feels the next one he'll definitely make it aroudn 2 hours 😆

In summary, what did he say?

He basically said he read all the reviews and feels that critics were disappointed becuase they were expecting another taut thriller like Johnny Gaddaar, but Agent Vinod is not a thriller. Its an action adventure.
The story is very simple, so to look for something new in the story is the wrong approach.
he said liek Bond films, the film is about an agent who saves the world, and everyone should know that. What they should enjoy is the journey.
He agrees with teh audience criticism about the length though and says for next time, they'll make it shorter, and he quotes a lot of film makers he likes.
As for the Saif Kareena chemistry, he feels that people were expecting something else. There's no romance in the film, because its a plot driven relationship. ANd the emphasis was never meant to be on their couple so he doesnt know what people were thinking.

the story is pathetic...not smart..with many loopholes..period..Raghavan might think he has made a masterpiece but that is far from the truth!😆 and Bond films are actually very entertaining..but this movie was quite boring...to be honest I think Sriram himself was pretty confused as to what he was making! LOL, and if their was not suppose to be a love story Raghavan, why take Kareena at Saif's request?? you did not stick to your convictions..there is no use blaming the audience now! go find yourself another audience if you do not like us😛

I'll read it in detail later. But thanks for the summary. I agree with him. I am not sure what people were expecting. I mean if you have not watched Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, then you don't know your shit, so just shut up. 🤪There were a lot of Casino Royale like sequences in the film and to me it did not even feel like it was a copy. I especially loved the Bond-Vesper angle with Saif Kareena towards the end. I honestly had no problem with the length either. To me, every sequence had a significance and led to another...well except for that mujra...but whatever. Why the heck would I not go pee for almost 3 hours if it was that boring?! 😆

Okay gotta go work on my goddamned paper now. But DG, don't you worry, I will be your bodyguard on this thread if anyone attacks you. 😎

actually the biggest criticism was that the movie could not match up to Bond style movies..also the movie has a lot of loopholes..believe me a lot of people in India love watching Hollywood movies! so please do not blame the audience for the movie's failure

Sriram should take it easy...the songs probably are the biggest weeds extending length then over the top action sequences...people are not interested here to watch indian james bond they prefer the firangi one...i think Saif must have seen this thing coming up for him in the first place.

now Sriram might perhaps take a year for script and then to film...he takes a lot of time to build up.

Sriram can go blah blah blah but it doesnt matter. The movie is a failure...no amount of explainations is going to help.
