Eva, I never thought of Papa Scindia as a catalyst. I can see that now. He is indeed a very grey character. What the society thinks about his family is extremely important to him and I feel almost all his decisions revolve around that thinking.

Hello every one great input..

Yes he is going to be a master player. He keeps his cards close to his heart..

He has a great obeservation power and he listens to all.. and also he is very astute he knows every ones strength and every ones weakness. He always steps in to take the control of everyone's weakness and push them to do the right thing.

And than according to the present situation and his family prestige he takes the decision considering his image. He does not care if he has to step on the toes of his family members or his relatives or in-laws..

And also he is the one who keeps that Buva under control too.. She may have a tongue like scissors but his one glance is enough to silence her.

The interesting thing is though he is autocratic but he does listen to all and sometime takes the suggestions of others. Also that all are in awe of him but they are at liberty to say what they feel is right for the situation but they are never allowed to cross their boundaries.

His sons do talk to him comfortably and so Nidhi their DIL.

He makes them feel welcome but only allows the things to be done as per what he think is right

So though it seems he is a grey character but he always pushes the right button to bring each family members out of their weaknesses..

He does not allow too much chaos in any situation and takes control where he thinks the situation is getting out of control and he does not mind little things as his main goal is to protect the main event which may impact his image.

he is most definitely an interesing character

hold of command

the main decision maker

the head of teh house

a true politician and male chauvanist

but as aarya'a relation will progress he will start facing opposition from yash due to his dictatorial nature

Eva nice topic love everyones POV, yes he is grey character but he knows how to get things going, I think he is not thinking bad of others even really. He took decison Yash has to marry and made sure it happens.

Lets look at name change, like Yash he was in trap too. Arpita's parent's pressure, and they are vulnerable and has high impact on Yash's life, so going against them is like making him mad. Ok he is not happy but he left matter between yash and Arpita's parent and the final decision he took it. Why drag things when they are handled.

Now when Aarti and Shobha ji came with same issue, he tried to pressure them in understanding his POV. Which is nor right to viewer. BUT BUT if you guys listen to whole thing, he said one sentence that was highlight

"There no matter that cannot be resolved by talk, in world and right now I only say respect Arpita's parent's feelings"

I think he just wanted everyone to move beyond and Vidhi knowing him and Yash better, told Aarti that don't worry about it...

I somehow feel he will side with Aarti after marriage when Gayatri will be pressuring her and will be biased to Yash's girls.

He worries about both family and society, what does make his character grey is we don't what he cares for more😕

Like the term you used, "Master Player" he definately is and will be..

And guy playing him is good and has personal aura which makes him real..

Hey Veena the man who plyas Yash's father is very well known actor.

His name is Chetan Pandit and he was seen in many movies too..

He was in Rajniti and also the latest Hrithik Roshahn movie Agneepath he was his father Dinanath Chauhan

He was even seen in Shewta's (Arpita) earlier show (Myke se bandhi dor) as Arpita's father

He is a fantastic actor and his body language and dialogue delivery is phenomenal

You know I just thougt of this..

Instead of catalyst I could call Papa Schindhia as Chameleon.

He is not really dangerous but he knows how to change his colors per his circumstances which are to his benefits...

It is type of his protective mechanism to keep his image and his staus intact in the society... and also that helps to move the family to the next level..

So that is what he does... He keeps quite.. observes the situation and than takes the decision which can save the situation.. very smart and very astute man..

Yes he is autocratic but he is not tyrannical. As he takes suggestion from his family and does listen to them patiently and than takes the assessment of the situation and comes up with the best solution which controls the situation and propels the story ahead..
