Yes it is true that Mr Schindhia is a great politician but it is also true that he is the main decision maker and because of him the story has moved forward..
First we see that Yash is living his monotonus life and as now his daughters are getting older he needs a famine touch with them which he is not at all ready to bring in his life..
He would not even listen about any proposal. His family members were after him and he kept avoiding the issue
Then we see Sr Schindia had a direct talk with him and he told him in no nonsense way even telling him that his behavior of being sad and crying after his deceased wife is not a manly thing.. He even made sarcastic remarks about his son's grief and then he made it little softer by telling him that because of his this behavior his younger brother's life is suffering too..
and than in his dictatoral way he put his foot down and told Yash that he is expecting Yes.. and Yash had to consider the life of Pratik and had to agree...
Then second time when Gayatri wanted to put the condition that Ansh will not come with Aarti than Sr. Schindhia agreed with Yash and took the matter in his hand and told Gaytri that there should not be any condtition and Ansh would be allowed to come that way they will have more control over the coming Bahu as she will be always thankful for that and stay under their command.
Gayatri tired to cancle the engagement as she really did not want to bring Ansh home but Sr schindhia allowed Vidhi to bring one of her ring and let the engagement go as per schedule.
Than at the house of Dubey Gayatri was trying to skirt the issue but he stop her and agreed and made Gayatri's arugument null and took the command of the situation
Then after coming home he gave his ultimatum to Gayatri in no nonsense way that he would be upset if she creates any problem in this wedding process.
Than came Arpita's mom and she told Yash that they want their daughter's name to remain in this house hold and that is why it was her wish.. He was looking at all these emotional drama and did not say a word.. and Arpita's mom gave Yash the oath of herself and Yash had to agree..
Than came his chauvinist way to shut Shobah up when she went to tell about Aarti's name change. I was observing him when Yash was exploding in their room Gayatri was upset at her son's grief and there was a sheen of tears but he was observing all this without a word...
So when Shobha came with Aarti requesting Gayatri he took the matter in his hand right away cause he knew that at this time the issue on the name is not important. Shobha had the right point and to stop this argument before it even begins he made her realize the big picture of the situation and made her realize that when a girl has to change the name after the marriage anyway so name change is not a big issue.. When shobha started to put forth the argument of giving the deceased wife's name to Aarti he kept her quite by telling her that it is the second marriage and by giving this name if the parents of his deaceased DIl's parents get little peace than so be it..
And than he tells her that there is a solution for each situation and it can be solved.. I think he just gave hint to Shobha that she should just step down for now and not bring this issue...
The way he took the matter in his hand and the way he did not allow Shobha to utter any objection was very rude and very dictatorial...
But he not only did that with Shobha but with Yash.. with Gayatri too..
Yes he only opens his mouth when he thinks that the situation is dragging and the situation is not being resolved..
Yes his ways are very chauvinist and dictatorial... and also he rules the situation with iron hand and does not allow his son... his wife... or his DIL's parent to have any words once he thinks that situation is getting out of hand..
So in every situation he was the one who took the stagnant situation in his hand and help to bring this Puner Vivah at this stage..
Yes he is a great politician but I think at heart he evaluates the situation correctly and sees that getting sentimental in the situation is not going to help anybody
If he did not put his foot down with Yash this Puner Vivah would not have happen.
If he did not put his foot down with Gayatri this Puner Vivha would not have happen
If he did not put his foot down with name change situation there would be some emotional situation with Arpita's parent and Yash would be totally upset with it as he would never want to hurt Arpita's parents and would just cancle this remarriage and also the way he told his parent that he would not give this name to anyone or would not share Arpita's things.. That time I was observing his face that he was thinking about it and he thought his son needs to come out of this possessiveness and only Arpita's mom this demamd would do that without any hassel as if she is able to share her daughter's name and her things he will have to accept her and he will have to let it go little by little
So I think he already took the decision that to give in to Arpita's mom is better for the situation and that is why he did not let Shobha utter a word.
And to make the matter short he used his authority and reminded Shobha and put the broader situation in front of her and made her realize that sticking to her principle is not helping the situation righ now. As it can be resolved later.
So I think he evaluates the situation and takes the decision what is right for that present situation. He does not sit with any group or support any one but he supports the solution of that Situation.. Yes his ways are very much dictatorial and tyranical and autocratic but he gets the work done and pushes the situation to the next level.
So they show him as dictator but still making good decision and taking the sentimental issue and resolving it with his ruthless practical mind..
Imagine if he would let his son stay in the grief and be sympathetic than this punervivah would never have happened and Yash would never agree..
Imagine if he would agree with his wife about Ansh than this Puner Vivah would never have happened as Aarti would never agree on that condition
Imagine if he would have listen to Shobha this Puner Vivah would never have happened as Arpita's mom would be sad and Yash would be upset too and would not agree for the Puner Vivah too
So I think he is the main catalyst for this whole show as he steps in at the right moment to take the situation in his hand and takes the show at the next level...
