The hottest dance song award goes to 'Chammak Chal

In 2011, the race to the title for the hottest dance song was one raging battle of the sexes.

It was the season for scorchers and skimpily dressed screen darlings. Their moves saw audiences dropping their jaws in wide-eyed amazement.

So while the music got more foot-stomping and crazier than last year, the videos got bolder and the lyrics left nothing to the imagination.

No wonder then, Chammak Challo (Kareena Kapoor) and Chikni Chameli (Katrina Kaif) ruled the roost while the likes of male escorts Akshay Kumar and John Abraham made a striptease look like just another day at work. Salman Khan made Character Dheela uber-cool, and road-trippers Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol serenaded a Spanish Senorita.

Darling (Priyanka Chopra) and Sadi Gali (Kangana Ranaut) drew out the crazy seductresses. Jalebi Bai (Mallika Sherawat) and Ooh La La (Vidya Balan) became hot catchphrases.
