Didn't you feel terrible for Arpita's Mom?

You know the way she walked so happily and lovingly with tear filled eyes towards Aarti. The way she looked at Aarti as though this is the daughter she had been waiting for ever since the first one departed. Her crumbling emotional face as she put haldi on Aarti, her eyes never leaving Aarti's face. The love, tragic poignancy and maternal instincts with which she put those bangles in Aarti's hands. Her ecstatic emotion ridden voice as she called Aarti by the name of 'Arpita'. Her pleas and emotional breakdown alongwith emotional blackmail to Yash to please, please, please allow her to take Aarti under her wings as her daughter Arpita….

How can we not feel for this mother who perhaps never recovered from the loss of Arpita. The moment she saw a young woman taking the empty spot next to Yash, she tried to live the life of a mother again – she instantly opened her heart and her arms to Aarti so that she can live and die with the comfort that she has a daughter – that she is not childless anymore. That Aarti is her Arpita……

Yes, she is a selfish-in-a-twisted-way , desperate mother who is trying to hold Aarti in her palms as her daughter. She is not thinking how Yash is going to take it , she doesn't know what and how Aarti is feeling. But you still let her get away with everything for now- simply because she is a mother who wants to stay a mother , a mother who instantly fell in love with a girl and embraced her as a daughter without even knowing if she will ever get that love and respect from her.

For Aarti , it's a matter of identity, individuality. For Arpita's mother , it's the oceanic love of a mother who is just overwhelmed that her motherhood has been restored and returned to her.

I know she is not right , in many ways. But when she looked at Aarti with all that love and those tearful eyes, the lines of right and wrong seemed to blur for a moment. Nobody can understand her heart at the moment – or the pulse of life it felt on seeing Aarti and embracing her as Aarti.

I don't need to say anything on the rest of the episode because that job is done to perfection in the Analysis Unit. So, am off to read that now.

P.S- Today the screenplay was FLAWLESS. Respect and applause, writers.

She is not fair. Couldnt she understand Arthi's feelings that she too is the daughter of someone. What will persons related to her feel. By the way Piyomori (Arpitha's mom) is good in doing this rona dhona as she had done in KMH2 and IPKKND also.
