Your opinion on the COMPARISON Threads and Polls

We are getting lot of complains and reports about these Comparison Polls and Threads. Comparison threads are not allowed here. But we still let them post until now because it wasn't very frequent. But in the last couple weeks too many polls and threads on Who is the most good looking, Who is the most ugly looking, Who is the better actress, Who is the better actor...

Anything in excess does get a little annoying after a while, I can totally understand why so many members are complaining to me abt it.

I think we just need to stick to regular discussion threads and avoid any more comparison polls and comparison threads. Before we fully decide i want to know your opinion on this matter.

Lets go with the majority... Whats your opinion? Feedback is appreciated. Thank you!!!

I never got the point of polls... they pretty much wind up opinions into a little box.

SO, if the question is "who is the best looking actress", and you think its Dia Mirza, no one's gonna care, because its not a poll option. >.<

Waste of time unless there is some real reason for the comparisons. Pointless joke comparisons like "Who's the better actress Meryl Streep or Sonam?" are a waste of bandwidth

Polls/threads like Ugliest Actor/Actress SHOULD NOT be allowed at all. I mean seriously who are we kidding here?!

However if someone is opening up a thread on the bettor actor or actress, I think it should be allowed as long as members post within their limits and keep in mind and respect EVERYONE'S opinions. If that doesn't work, then these threads shouldn't be allowed either. But we should give it a chance. Each member will have a different opinion on who the better actor/actress is. The most important thing is to RESPECT each and every opinion without getting into constants battles and fights. So if we want to continue these comparison threads its up to the members to keep them within limits.

Otherwise such comparison topics/polls/threads should not be allowed in any circumstance.

Comparison topics are okay as long it is within the limit. Using personal attacks and comparison topics that are just stemmed out of hatred is no point.

For instance: Most of the kareena comparison topics are open to bash her.

I don't see the points for polls either.

Bollyforum used to be such a fun place to hang out where real debates happen. Now it looks like a kindergarten playground where members are acting like school kids.

I don't really post in the Bollywood forums much. But whether it be here or any other section, these poll type – comparison topics are annoying and frivolous. They don't hold any value or meaningful discussion. Too many topics like these wastefully clog up the forums and push down good topics to lower pages. Once in a while they are fine, but as a rule of thumb only discussion worthy topics should be allowed.
