Wayyy too many polls these days. Comparison topics are tricky.. a lot of times they're made to rile up members and not really for discussions. I like that we don't have the "who looks best in the pink tie" comparison topics anymore.

That's harsh Sheee. The mods can't please everyone. I think she's being super fair by just asking for everyones opinion. Wouldn't you rather she made topics about other issues rather than just throw rules at you? At least now you can voice your opinion :)

No one is playing favorites here, it is not only one member complaining there have been several complaints. We were just looking for a solution to the problem and decided to get the members point of views, that's all.

Hmmm...like Kal El said, comparisons are an integral part of this section

I think a few of the comparison polls should be allowed, but not so many at a time...These days, the section seems to be just full of polls and few articles/gossips which sort of slows down the section overall. Drop the silly polls with the tu tu main main, but there are some legitimate ones...for example, after the success of TDP, there were multiple "discussions" on Vidya vs Kareena which makes sense because they're currently at the top right now and did so through different career choices

Whattt...😆 How did Maya come into this... Is she into some jadoo mantar... 😆 The only posts of hers which i saw was yesterday in my thread abt the bollywood secrets... That's where i said Hello Hi to her and gave her a hug bcoz i was chatting with her after abt 9-10 months... I don't even know where she complained abt these posts...

Me and Mandy have been talking abt these comparison polls mainly the ones started by Tanya... Past two weeks we have got tons of reports and tons of complains on the polls. if you go thru Tanya's posts you'll see how annoyed people are in those threads... Some of the links are below...

Today too in one of the better actress thread i saw the member Sana(Blackstar) express her displeasure. The link's below...

Frankly Blackstar's post is what triggered me to make this thread, bcoz me and Mandy wanted to ask members opinion before we take the next step. And where have we even decided abt these threads. If you notice this thread is abt asking opinions and feedback so that we can decide on the next course of action.

If its just about us taking the final decision, we can just take the decision on our own and put up a sticky saying NO more comparison threads...

But we don't want to do that. We want to see what the majority feel abt it... That is exactly why this thread is up... I clearly said in my first post that i am asking for opinions and feedback before we make a decision. That means we will take into consideration whats said here and then decide on the next course of action...

If you go thru this thread majority of the members feel we shld not have the comparison threads. But after reading Kal's post i think he has made a good point... I think getting a balance is the key instead of fully eliminating the comparison threads. After I read his post i even PMed Mandy to think abt it.

Regarding fights in the comparison threads... Go thru Tanya's thread/polls in the past two weeks... Last week I had abt 19 reports on one of her polls.

Regarding having fun here, I think the DT of this section has been very flexible bcoz we want the members to have fun. Thats why before taking any decisions we make sure we ask opinions and only after that we go ahead with the final decision.

I personally dont mind it, if there is a point to the discussion. but comparing Deepika and kareena or asking people their favorite movie, for which the given sample is clearly biased to reflect the poster' opinions is stupid.

Most of these topics end up bringing two of the fan groups to clash, and at the end, many of us are simply mute spectators, because we dont f**king care or agree.

I'd say ban these threads for now. if a genuine thread comes up, with a clear, concise point made to stimulate a discussion why not?

So the mods have moved earth and wind to accommodate Maya's single comment (after a 7 month long break, might I add) on a thread? You like stirring the pot, I get it but it's getting old really quick. It is neither cute nor funny. As it once was.

and mandy, about members point of view.member will complain about anything and everything under the sun.you can make a sticky about ladygaga's member comparing polls,or/and people are even complaining about dasigal and nkapoor's arguments, even though they are entertaining. if you guys are going to make a sticky about everything members complain about, then all other sticky would be gone.
