sorry but i find rishi lacking with in emonational and serious scenes i always find rati as upper hand with her expressions... i find ishan better than rishi.in emotional scenes.. chemistry does not mean that has to b/w lovers it can be with any body...
like simi dewan and indra their clash did impress us i did not feel they are sharing the screen space for the first time... the same goes to sameer... their fight the way indra gives her back...the way sameer challenges back to win her... and how indra insult back sameer... honestly Munral complement rati ... he can give competion to rati in acting after arjun
Respectfully, a counter opinion.
Sumit : Check out the scene from 1st March when Indira stumbles over a piece of concrete as she is being led away by the police, and is caught by Rishi. Here you see 3 different emotions played very well by Sumit.
First is when he tries to tell Indira to not worry and he will find the real culprit. The unspoken communication between Indira and Rishi before Rishi speaks, spoke volumes. Indira bared herself to him showing him her bewilderment, deep disappointment, hopelessness, pain and distrust. Rishi communicating his pain, desperation and panic. His desperation was evident when he spoke.
Second, his panic was evident when he heard Indira's bitter response. His spoke quickly, his voice thinned as he pleaded, desperately tried to convince her to not give up hope, and that he will find the culprit. Wow!
Third when Indira leaves. He is pained by Indira's rejection of support and refusal to believe in him. One see's Rishi's pained determination, as well as anger at the situation.
This for me is acting.
The excellent silent communication between Indira and Rishi is chemistry writ large. Witness this scene as well as 2nd March scene when Rishi checks out Indira's wounds in the police station. With all due respect, if the chemistry between the two was not lighting fires, then this scene would have been a dud. Instead, for many it is the best scene so far in HD.
I would also like to add that Sumit took a while to grow on me, and for his chemistry with Indira to hook me on to HD (especially since I an not a watcher of Indian TV, or for TV in general for that matter). I found his voice and his accent disconcerting in the beginning. Even now I find he has to improve his pronunciation a bit, to convince the audience that Ricky Diwan came from upper echelons of society. Maybe it is a case of physiology of his voice box given that Sumit is a highly educated professional.
Murnal: I am with Murnal where I was with Sumit in the beginning.
His voice and lack of facial expressions bother me a bit. He has better physique than Sumit and looks v good clothed or unclothed. But his attempt at playing an emotionally restrained psycho leaves a lot to be desired (in my opinion only). For example when his camera got exposed and he broke his laptop, I saw neither the anger in his face, nor the sadistic pleasure which Murnal attempts to communicate with his slight smile after he says that Indira will pay for all the losses he has suffered.
This is just mine opinion. No offense intended towards anyone, just positing a counter view with examples.
Cheers
