Vidya Balan in Hitler Didi to promote film Kahani

Actress Rati Pandey who one does not usually expect to find at a loss for words, was left speechless while recently shooting for her Zee TV show Hitler Didi. The reason for the bubbly and cheerful Rati to lapse into a tongue-tied, nervous silence, you ask? Well, that was the effect of the presence of the reigning "Best Actress of the Year" Vidya Balan who was on the sets of Hitler Didi to shoot for a cameo in the show promoting her upcoming film 'Kahani'. A thorough professional and a one-take actress, Vidya was in an out of the shoot within two hours flat – shooting for a scene as well as a promo for the channel.

According to the storyline of Hitler Didi, it is during lead protagonists Indira and Rishi's wedding preparations that Vidya Bagchi (Vidya's character in 'Kahani') meets bride Indira as she comes to Chandni Chowk looking for her husband Arnab. She enlists the help of both Indira and Rishi but to her dismay, Arnab is nowhere to be found. While leaving, she extracts promises from both the prospective bride and groom to be – to always stand by each other, love and cherish their togetherness and keep nothing from each other.

"Vidya Balan was an absolute dream to work with. One would never have expected such an accomplished actress to be so down to earth, thoroughly prepared with her lines beforehand and yet open to feedback. She was very accommodating and patient with the cast and crew. I told her how she is a role model for me, after all, she started her career as a actress on Zee TV and has gone on to carve a niche for herself in the film fraternity with such impressive performances year after year. Vidya is an inspiration."

Zee TV will air gorgeous Vidya Balan pay a visit to Indira on the Zee Holi Special at 8 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012.
