SONAM Quit Bollywood & Try Your Luck As A Fashion Scribe

Sonam Kapoor has an agenda for the fashion industry or what? Or why else is she hopping from Paris to London to Milan to catch the Autumn-Winter 2012/13 showings at the fashion weeks? I know she has all the time as she got no movies to do but globetrotting and catching all the fashion weeks seems like the trait of a fashion addict.

Sonam should try for a job with a fashion glossy. I don't know if any would be keen to hire her as her knowledge on fashion is questionable. Wearing expensive labels doesn't necessarily make you a fashion pro. My one-time chit-chat with her exposed her as she gaffed about Japanese labels like Comme des Garons and it's designer Rei Kawakubo.

But yes I discovered from reliable sources that Sonam Kapoor is not invited by Cavalli or Gabbana to attend their shows. In fact she sends an E-mail request, which is like her resume to the fashion houses to secure an invitation. The E-mail talks about her filmography (a list of flop Bollywood movies) and also Papa – Anil Kapoor's Slumdog Millionaireclaim-to-fame. There are attachments of her snaps with Tom Cruise and of editorial shoots that she had done for Indian edition of Vogue, Harper's Bazaarand other fashion glossies. I guess that is enough of hard-sell by Sonam Kapoor to receive an invitation to the front-row. Once at the show she manages to get a picture clicked with the designer and immediately post it on Twitter for Desi media to clamour for it.

Jack over at fashionscandal is pretty damned reliable. In fact so reliable that Priety Zinta's threats made him take off the coke dope post on her down. I thought Sonam was conceited but this is pretty surprising. I had no idea she actually clamored for attention this bad.

You need to hardsell sometimes I guess.. even starkids..

It is the same struggle for actors looking for work..You just have to do everything you possibly can..for visibility..We admire the ambition and drive in yesteryear stars and fictional characters..

I feel that Sonam can have a hit talk show on TV..She is a true performer in front of a live audience(no wonder the media persons love her)..

I remember Ranbir saying that Sonam is a better actress offscreen..he is right..she can.t relate to a still camera..live audience stimulates her and she likes to be herself rather than play someone else..she is the center of her world and she loves her life..

She will make a great anchor..I would LOVE to watch her show..meet a new designer/makeup artistes every weekday..see their collections..Sonam can share her makeup tricks..style secrets..😍

Please don't judge her for her passion...in afew years she will tell us all that she has learnt😃

What's so surprising? The first sign of a wannabe is to show off your connections.

Next she will probably wriggle out some invites from Government of India because of being 'influential' on twitter.

people hate on anything Sonam does... movies and now fashion!! the girl likes fashion... who cares! top international designers dont just take anyone even if they do send an email!

if Sonam's shoot for Bhag Milkha Bhag doesnt start till later then theres nothing wrong with going to fashion events! actors/actresses are allowed to have other hobbies besides films and bollywood!

plus who is this Jack? never head of him... 😕

The PZ post and the one with the Birla dirt are the only two he has taken down until now...

He knows it inside out... Jack is Jaydeep Ghosh, a Delhi based journalist with HT... I wish he was based in Mumbai... Imagine the dirt he would dish out...
