Thanks for the article!
I love how they referred to Gurmeet as Ram...it's been a long time since the end of Ramayan in 2009 since he was referred to as Ram.😊

Well thanks for the great review.. Miss Rachana Dubey
But it seems the writer of the article lives back in the past too... as Miss Dubey forgot that Gurmeet was no longer "Ram" long back...
He emerged as well loved well portrayed magnificent Maan Singh Khurana too... whom people love like crazy..
The Role of Ram portrayed by Gurmeet was magnificent but the potrayal of Maan was not less than that.
It takes a guts of an actor to emerge from a mythological casting and Gurmeet was able to do that by his sheer talents and hard work as being Maan he had to work double hard and prepared himself well.
Many of old mythological cast could never come again.. like Arun Govil and Nithish Bhardwaj and Deepika..
But the way Gurmeet came as Maan was magnificent and he did that role so well that people forgot to think it as a fictional character but people called him Maan where ever he was seen in public.
Anyways now he is no longer Ram or Maan but Yash.. and we do welcome him with all our hearts as Gurmeet is the one we love the most...

^^ Hey Eva, you know Arun Govil, Nitish Bharadwaj, and Deepika? I thought no one remembered the old mytho actors anymore. I'm glad that's not true.

Hi - many remember them and love them still! I have right now a disc of Vishnu Puran in lappy and watch Nitesh ji when i have the moment. Those stories were such classics you don't even feel their age,

Thought it was funny too how they are still calling Gurmeet as Ram - lot has happened since then - but it was unforgettable hai na?

Thanks for posting this nice review!

oh yes I loved Arun Govil as Ram.. and absolutely loved Nithish Bhardwaj as Krishana in Mahabharat.. I still remember that all knowing smile and being the sarothi of Arjun.. he was wonderful and Mukesh Khanna as Bhishma Pitamah..
I still remember an incident when Arun Govil was smoking in public and people were very upset with him as how can Ram smoke.. He had tough time later on being Ram...

Yes dear, it's not easy not connecting an actor with his mythological counterpart, especially when the show was so popular and well-received, but I'm glad Ramayan has not become an obstacle in his career...I hope Gurmeet becomes known by all his character names and not just one...Raam, Maan, Yash, you name it.
