Kumar Gaurav was the first choice, when he refused (over money mattes), Mohnish was selected. He even shot some scenes, but later decided KGGK had more scope for him.

I'm so used to imagining Mohnish as either the goody-goody from Rajshri movies or as the mean man from Devi...so can never imagine him doing Jai Walia. Also he looks too old...and definitely doesn't have that spark to play the millionaire very attitude-wala I'm too good for the world Jai Walia. He's a great actor...but not a Jai Walia lol.

Monish NO but I would have given Sameer Soni a chance. In JJKN he was so regal looking, the looks he gave Jassi and Bani being more prettier than Jassi, would surely have melted our hearts.
