Manav is NOT in love with Shavrani, so why did Archana lie about signing the divorce papers? If she REALLY loved Manav, then she would have given him what he wanted, HER. Has Manav met Shavrani in the past 18 years? Yes, or no? If not, then why are they pushing or suggesting such a relationship. Can't Archana even figure this out right now?

Why didn't Archana just say the truth to Manav?
Seriously, this storyline is so unbelieveable insane, that my cat threw up in shock. He wondered, do you humans really watch this type of stuff? Even in cat world we know that we must meow conflicting incidents to each other.
And can someone explain to me, don't you have to have WITNESSES when you sign legal documents?
I have so lost respect for Archana's character. Of course, this is the message that EK wants to send to the world - sacrifice yourself. I wonder, how much of herself does she sacrifice for others that she wants others to be like Archana?

Hi Laila,
I had left watching PR after Archana-Manav's 2nd marriage, i.e even before the 4 yrs leap. Came back to watching PR from last 2 weeks. So, I have missed a lot and cannot make out a lot of things. But in friday's (or was it thursday's) episode when Sulochana asks Archana , "how come you didn't even think about your children for the past 18 yrs, don't you ever worry about them?..", the answer Archana gives is something along the lines of "I don't have a reason to worry, they must be happy with their Shravani aai ...".

...so, I think, Archana thinks that Manav, their children and her in-laws are all living together (happily) with Shravani. So, this may be the reason why she is doing what she is doing ...

Like I said before, I am trying to understand what has happened in all these months that I didn't watch PR, from the present dialogues .. so, I might be wrong. But someone who has watched all the episodes before might be able to clarify better.

When Sachin approached Archana, it was not suggested that Shavrani was living with Manav or even in their lives. This could not even be assumed in the conversation. Later, the writers probably did this because so many people were irritated with Archana's decision. Bad writing on the CVs and EKs part.

Archana is a nincompoop, seriously which woman in her right senses would give up her husband who loves her just because her foolish son told her he needs her to give up his dad for the sake of said idiotic son's happiness?? She really must not love Manav or must love Sachin who is not even her own child, more than Manav, Ovi and Teju put together. It is totally unnatural of a mother wanting to please one son (even if it is her own) and so give up on her two other children and husband. If she had agreed to the divorce before she knew Manav still loved her it would have perhaps made some sense.
Also, the writers went a little off track because she asks for her children in return for the divorce before Manav confesses, then she lies that she indeed wants the divorce but yet persists in asking for the children!! Does not make any sense at all!

The producers of this show feel that seperating Manav and Archana and them unable to keep themselves away from each other is a money making formula so they are coming up with really silly story lines ...Also I think this whole track has been scripted to make the audience love Purvi's character as she is probably be the one who will bring this family back together ...
I don't think the writers care about logic or sense , they just go after the track that is making money .

Yeah Tanya, the story writers are dumbdo's and getting paid for doing a lousy job.
Don't you think that when Sachin told Archana to divorce Manav because he wanted to see his mother Shravani happy by marrying Manav. Why did brainless Archana not put 2 and 2 together that if Shravani was in Manav's life why would Manav want Archana back in his life. Now how stupid can one get...Archana or the story writers????

All I can say is that it is a stupid track..Really really bad writing .I would have peferred it had they shown that Archu , after talking to her daughters on the phone and after finding out that they hate her so much gets angry with Manav and decides that she does not wish to live with him any more ...For me that would have been more realistic ..
But the writers just have to bring the whole angle of mindless sacrifises in the show . So they show Archana again giving up her husband for Shravani ...
What I can't understand is why don't the writers think that this track is damaging to the show and it makes Archana look irritatingly stupid ...A fan like me is getting so put off with her .There has to be a limit of foolish stubborn behavior ..
Archana is really boring me now ...
The writers could have shown a proper genuine problem between them but look at the mess they have made of this situation ...
I think they just want to make Sachin the villian ( for now ) and Purvi the one who will shine in the end ...
there is no consistency in the track either ...On Friday , Archana clearly said ' my daughters are with their Shravani Aie : . She now actually believes that her daughters think of Shravani as their mother ..When did this happen ?????😕

If Archana did not have that misunderstanding the story wouldn't have dragged through her agreeing for the divorce, the court-room drama and them having to live together now for 6-months.
Archana could have gotten it clarified from Sachin at that time. Either the CVs intentionally did not wanted to bring this topic back then, or they forgot about it. Because if this topic did crop at that time, then either Sachin had to lie, which would have helped drag the drama or if Sachin told the truth, there wouldn't have been this drama.

But yes, they could have brought it up with Sulo & Archu back at that time rather than doing so late after several folks questioned it.

To me, also, Sulo-Archu's that conversation, does look like put together as an "after-thought", "a patch-up job", something that they tried to answer which they had either completely forgotten or did not know how to convey it, which to me it looks more like the former than the latter.

But atleast it looks like since folks here questioned it, they did realize the blunder they did and tried to answer it. And with this assumption/mis-understanding of Archana they have managed to answered 2 questions in 1 answer - as to why she is agreeing for the divorce and why she never worried about her daughters.

More than that, what can I say, Archana has always been shown to take ridiculous decisions only. Look at her, instead of getting that clarified directly from Manav or Sachin, she discusses with Sulochana, who doesn't know any better. There wasn't any effort from Archana to try to know what the actual and complete truth is?

Looks like Archana's misunderstanding will be clarified only towards the end of the 6 months when again Manav-Archana think that they should be together and shouldn't get divorced?

Edit: .. from all this, I feel it is aleast good to point-out the flaws or things that doesn't make sense. If they think it is worth clarifying, they would.

Well technically it is impossible for Archana to ask to have Sachin, Tej and Ovi because they are of legal age and are emancipated from being a minor and still have their parents have legal custody rights over their children. Plus, they can choose for themselves with whom they want to live even if they want to live by themselves it is not for the court to decide. And if Archana wants her children very badly that she wants for nothing from the divorce apart from her three children why haven't she said or do anything in the past 18 years of their life living apart from each other and why hasn't she called or try to find out about any information regarding her three children.

She never called because Manav lost faith in her as a mother. More importantly, when Savita came to see her before leaving for Canada, she had Archana sign a document that would severe her ties with her children. She believed it was from Manav and another reminder she was an unworthy mother. The final straw was Manav telling her over the phone he never wanted her to contact him. Bear in mind, she had no idea where he was and she never bothered Vandu who would have gladly tried to get information about her kids.
When asking Manav what she wanted, she wanted her kids even though they were of legal age. She had respected his wishes and stayed away and had hoped that eventually he would give in but when she meets him after so many years, it is for a divorce. Hurt and angry, she wants what she entrusted with him for so many years - her experiences with her children.
The biggest fault with this story is her, Archana's decision, to give into the divorce so Shavrani can be with Manav because she lvoes him. There is no mention that he loves her or that she is already with him. The story is flawed here as it really does make Archana look incredibly pathetic. Realizing this, the CVs are trying to do damage control. Still, we don't see Archana, even talking about it with Manav...and she won't otherwise this show does not have a leg to stand on.
This whole six months of drama is based on miscommunication and a woman's desire to sacrifice and be honest and open.
