Hello Hi Bye Bye!
Yes, after going MIA for a LONG time, I'm back! DW, I hadn't gone anywhere! I was just a very VERY silent reader on IF due to my work and other stuff! But now since Tanu isn't able to post a new adda and I'm kinda vella today, I thought I'd do so!
1. Yeh Dosti, Hum Nahi Todenge!: Whenever AnYa has had issues, its always RRA who's stepped in to intervene and help them. At times I wonder, what would AnYa have done without these three? I mean, remember all those arguments and fights and MUs AnYa had? Without the help of these three angels, none of it would have been solved, because our beloved AnYa have always needed a third party to help them sort out their issues! So once again, we see the return of the entire trio! And it was really sweet to see how they all landed up to AnYa's rescue at like 1AM! I completely expected Anant's male go to kick in and refuse their help. I mean, while this show does show a lot of novel stuff and Nayi Soch, they do show us a lot of cliched dramatic scenes and dialogues, which have been tried and tested before! So here after not much of persuasion, Anant agrees to go with Navya and stay over at Rits' place for the night! I honestly didn't understand the purpose of Meeta's call in this scene. While I agree that she Navya needs to be informed about her uncle, calling your married daughter at 1AM to inform her about her uncle's health seems kinda far fetched to me. If something happened to Renu/Gudiya/Harsh/Dadi/Meeta/Deepu, I would have understood, but a call at 1AM for to inform her about her uncle? Funny!
2. Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu!: OMG this tagline is so popular! I've been seeing it as taglines for TONS of different siggies of different on-screen as well as off-screen couples! Coming back to the show, I completely expected such a scene between AnYa, and I'm glad that they did justice to it. Navya's devi maiiya attitude had to kick in, and bring the dutiful SP DIL that she is, it is her duty to agree to whatever her in-laws say and think that they're correct, even if they're whipping her with hot iron rods. And so she began her lecture about how what they did was technically wrong, and the Bajpaayees are technically correct. Such a statement would obviously piss ANYONE off. I mean come ON. The guy left his entire family and wealth and riches for you, and you're standing and telling him to go back and apologise? Where's your self respect woman? Anant obviously lost his cool and snapped at Navya, only to realise that he shouldn't have done so, and thus we got to see an extremely cute AnYa scene, where she cups his face in her hands and reassures him, and lets him know that she's always with him and will always trust him, till the end of time! This scene was performed really well by both the actors IMO at least. We got to see Anant getting all frustrated and then upset, as he realised his folly; and we got to see Navya trying her best to support her husband, while also trying to make him realise the truth. A very cute scene, and it really touched my heart to see it!
3. Happy Valentines Day!: Okay sorry, I couldn't come up with a better subtitle for this one! Anyways, RRA come with cake and balloons and what not to celebrate Valentines Day with the newlyweds, and we get to see a lot of cute RR moments, along with some sweet AnYa moments as well! While both their wishes were extremely cliched and predictable, it was kinda sweet in a way. It just shows that they're at a point where they've begun to think of the other one more than themselves. Then we see a lot of cake cutting and photo sessions and all that, as the trio bid the newlyweds goodnight, and we get to see a nice and cute huggy-wuggy scene between AnYa once again! One thing what I fail to understand is the fact that how the hell did Ranbir-Appy land up in Rits' house in the wee hours of morning? Lets look at the timeline closely. When RRA went to take AnYa home, Rits claims that it is 1AM. They then go back to her place, they have that cute scene and freshen up and everything, so lets say it is like 2AM. And its obvious that RRA would have hung out with AnYa for at least an hour? So are the CVs trying to imply that both Ranbir and Appy were out roaming around till 3AM? Whoa! Not the kind of example they should exactly be setting right? And okay, I'm assuming that they've told their parents and gone out to meet AnYa, which means that their parents are really nice and lenient right? So why did AnYa have to go and stay with Rits? Why not with any of the other 2?
4. Another Om Prakash Bajpaayee? Nahiii!: Okay, Rits' dad is certainly NOT exactly like Gorilla Papa here, but he's a softer version of the guy! While I admit that he hasn't opened a motel to let AnYa stay over at his place and mooch off his food and house and everything, but it doesn't mean that he has to be so rude about it! Like I understand his PoV to a certain extent, but I feel that the CVs could have made his character a bit nicer. Why does he have to be so khadoos? I mean, he looks scarier than Angry Papa to me! Not cool man! But lets leave all this aside, this just shows that there's a new problem for AnYa now, they need a place to stay, cause Rits' dad doesn't look as if he's gonna have a change of heart very soon!
Precap: This just served to intensify the problem at hand! It appeared as if AnYa had gone over to the Mishras meet them and that's when all their boriya bistar landed at Rits' place! Now lets see where does this go!
Thoughts for the day: Did anyone notice the return of the awesome BG music? From Pehla Pyaar to some other stuff, the BG music rocked! It totally made me remember the golden days of this show, where all was good and we were watching a cute university love story! Oh, and isn't the decor of Rits' house totally AWESOME? I loved it! Especially the lamp, oof! And I won't comment on the increased on-screen chemo, I'll leave that for you all to dissect!
