"May I have this dance?" Maan whispered into Geet's ear.
Geet simply ignored him and began to walk away when Maan pulled her back. As a result, she came crashing into his chest.
"You can't stay mad at me forever." Maan said.
Geet turned around and smiled sweetly. "Watch me."
Before Maan could respond, a group of girls came by to wish Geet a happy birthday and pulled her on to the dance floor along with them. He was happy to see her dancing and laughing with her girls but still frustrated that he couldn't make that inner frown go away.
Just then, a slow song began to play and a guy came up to ask Geet to dance. Geet nodded happily.
"Maan sir, it looks like a vein is about to pop out of your forehead. Control yourself. You're only giving her the satisfaction." Maan was surprised to see Pinky standing beside him.
"When did you switch to Team Maan?"
"There is no Team Maan or Team Geet." Pinky replied. "There's Team Right and Team Wrong. She may be my best friend, but I know what shes doing right now is wrong."
"So what do you suggest we do?" Maan asked.
"Whisk her away from that guy. She may still be mad at you on the outside, but on the inside I know she'll be really happy. She's waited a long time to share this slow dance with you. In fact, she's been looking forward to this birthday for a really long time because she knew she was going to spend it with you." Pinky responded.
"Thank you, Pinky. For all that you've done today."
Pinky simply nodded and pointed towards Geet with her eyes.
The second slow song had just began to play when Maan tapped the guy dancing with Geet on the shoulder. The guy immediately began to walk away and Maan took his place.
Geet rolled her eyes, annoyed. She loosely held Maan's hand and draped the other over his shoulder.
She was too shocked to respond when Maan pulled her right up against him. She had no choice but to tighten her arms around his neck. If she let go, she would lose her balance.
"Happy Birthday Mrs. Geet Singh Khurana. I love you." He whispered softly, taking advantage of their closeness.
When Geet didn't respond, he twirled her around. This time when she came near him, she wrapped her arms around his neck on her own.
"Thanks." She said.
"All I said was happy birthday."
"No. The party I mean. It meant a lot to me." Geet responded.
"I know." Maan said and kissed her on the top of her head. "So does this mean you've finally forgiven me?"
Geet laughed. "Not a chance."
"Really? Then I might just have to do some persuading."
Maan pulled her even closer so that their lips were almost touching. Geet glanced around, hoping that no one was looking.
"Maan!" Geet tried to push him back but with no avail. When she stopped pushing against his chest, they were both still in the exact same spot.
Geet looked up at him. His eyes were filled with so much lust that Geet couldn't help but close the distance between them.
As soon as they both tightened their arms, everyone began to cheer.
Geet pulled away, embarrassed while Maan simply looked at her and smiled. They both turned to see Pinky whistling and giving them a thumbs up.
Maan pulled Geet away from the dance floor and everyone continued on with their partying. He took her to their garden, the only place where they could have some privacy.
He sat on the hammock and pulled down her down with him so that she was sitting on his lap.
"Now where were we?"
I'm going to end this FF in the next update because I really don't have any time and the gap between my updates is just getting larger and larger. It's not fair to you guys either. Abrupt I know. Sorry.
