Actor Shahid Kapur was questioned on the ownership of Toyota Land Cruiser by the Custom House. Special Investigation and Intelligence Branch has been probing into the case since the year 2004 for allegedly violating the transfer of residence rules. Shahid reportedly had bought the car from Mumbai resident Deep Jaitley who is the real importer. TR rules prohibit the sale of an imported car for two years, Shahid had got into lease hire agreement with Jaitley just like other celebrities. Authorities recorded a detailed statement of the actor who reportedly had purchased for Rs. 30 lacs.
