Shahid summoned for car import violation
Mumbai, June 29: Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor was today summoned by Custom Department for interrogation in connection with alleged violation of norms of car import.

Shahid, who had recently returned to Mumbai after his rocking Los Angeles shows along with the likes of Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, will now be questioned regarding the import of his flashy new car.

Shahid, son of versatile actor Pankaj Kapoor, has joined the list of Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan, Sunjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Sushmita Sen and Diya Mirza, who have been involved in the controversy surrounding the evasion of central duties while importing the vehicles to India.

Sanjay Dutt, on October 30, surrendered his 'Porsche' car to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in view of the probe into the alleged evasion of import duty by a car importer.

The DRI had earlier seized actor Suneil Shetty's 'Hummer' vehicle on similar grounds.
