Welcome to the Forum 😛
oh my god you have seen Dhoop Kinare..I loved that show. Dr Ahmed Khan was so dashing.. 😛 I used to watch Pakistani shows as well, but more and more, they are turning kind of like Indian soaps. I have all the channels and many times when I watch these pakistani dramas with equally bad themes, loud make up and Bahu of the house is making plots against the mother in law. 😕 . I think both countries have good and bad soaps. Where do you get that pakistani people like our soaps? I used to like Indian soaps when they had some story line to it...like Katha saagar and Udaan, Nirmala, Ashchayra Deepak...etc.
Why are pakistani serials banned in India? They are not Banned. I think you can get the DVD or the videos in the market. When I used to be in India, I used to rent them all the time..Ofcourse you can't watch them on national TV...I am pretty sure none of the countries show foreign shows on their national TV.

i dont know about bans or whatever is going on in india or pakistan cuz ive never lived in either of those countries. but i watch both indian and pakistani shows and i perfer the pakistani ones (it has nothing to do with me being pakistani i look at it in terms of entertainment and not what country produced it). Pakistani shows are realistic, short and sweet (i have watched the whole drama in 1 or 2 days...now tell me if that is possibile with indian dramas). The story line is to the point and everything gets solved and there are no stupid twists. I dont know what it is about indian dramas that pakistan's people find soo amusing that they perfer star plus over ary but yea lately thats the way it has been...and some of the newer dramas are becoming soaps with overly glamourous outfits and lavish homes.

i dont like pakistani movies...my rule is indian movies and pakistani dramas...its the best combo for an all rounded entertainment package 😆

My dadi is sooo right.😛 u see she is going much wiser after being my dadi😉...Dadi ho to aisi!!!😆 ..well even i don't give a second look to Pakistani films... they are sooooo🤢.. im just looking forward to Shoib's film.. who is an excellent drama/music video director😊

But i am one of those "Rare species" on IF who don't watch dramas😆.. i go for talk shows nowadays like Oprah and Machis.. if i find time😕

But those old dramas.. written by people like Late Ashfaq Ahmed Sahab, Bano Qudsiya, Munnu bhai, Haseena moin and many more... They were more than philosophers than writers and had the sense to see beyond the limits.. to call their dramas as "Masterpieces" is the correct way of appreciation.. if any one of u have seen them, u know wht i mean...

To cut short.. it was a wonderful industry initially... but now they are going so badly into soaps which i hate the most... well there is still hope when there are writer like Noor-ul-huda shah (Thoori si mohabbat) and Umera Ahmed (Lahasil, Wajood-e-Lareib) and many more .. so i can say that i can have some hope to watch my Paki Dramas😳

BTW , DF its "Dr. Ahmer" in dhoop kinare... its my fav toooooooo ..the dilemma of an adopted man.. and its conflicting situation when he finds that his father(Adopter) had a girl who's daughter is alive.. and he has donated his dear house to her... Wonderful emotions and feelings ... such a depth!! .. i love Un kahi, Dhoop kinare.. but above all ... it is Tanhaiyaan... wonderful wonderful... and the LISHT is looooooooooooooooooooooooooooog!!!😆

Pooja welcome to the Indian Television serial discussion forum. Good to have you here. I am glad you still joined a Indian T.V serial discussion forum inspite of thinking they are boring, vulgar and devoid of logic. 😊

I watch both indian and pakistani, but I prefer the pakistani dramas. Mainly because the stories are much more realistic and the storylines are not stretched forever.

But it scares me sometimes when I watch some of the pakistani dramas on tv and they look like they are trying so hard to imitate soaps. as mentioned above dramas like dhoop kinarey, ankahi, and ofcourse tanhaiyan!!, these dramas were amazing!! and they were worth putting time aside to watch them. If writers can stick to wrting realistic and touching stories like before then that would be great!

I can't really think of why people in pakistan turn away from these dramas to indian dramas except for maybe the glamour.

I myself watch indian soaps too and most of the time i'm yelling at the screen with frustration, if I had to choose from pakistani or indian dramas then i would most probably go with pakistani dramas.

Thanks! It's so funny because I have seen dhoop Kinare many times and my sister and I used to debate over his name. So it's dr Ahmer...what does that mean? I liked Zoya's character in it too...I hope we are talking about the same doctor..there were 2 male doctors in the show. One was funny and one was more serious.

He he😆Rajju di ... It is Dr.Ahmer..I think u lost the debate with ur sis😆😉... Ahmer means "Red" in arabic language..😕.. i don't know why they have selected that name😕... Oh well... the guy who played Dr.Ahmer-the serious one (now he is having his last child 2-3 yrs older than me😕and his children are awful in acting🤢) his name is "Rahat Kazmi"(This one adapted the novel"The Fountain Head" into the serial named "Teesra Kinara") and the hilarious ones his real name is "Sajid Hasan".. Dr.Zoya=Marina Khan, Zoya's Father=Qazi wajid, Zoya's real grandpa=Arshad Mehmood Dr. Sheela= Badar Khalil, Directed by= Late Shehzaad Khalil (Badar khalil's husband who also did tanhaeeyaan) ...eeekkkkss!! Am i writing a summary of the serial😕..Since when i have started doing this!!???😕..Oh well ... just let it go becoz its one of my fav. serials😳.. It was written by Haseena Moin.. and this writer creates the "Zoya" kind of girls in her seials... BTW Haseena Moin is also the writer of Un kahi, Tanhaeeyaan(It is the story of a shy girl who loses her parents and everything, then despite being so shy and insecure.. she ran a business.. survived a fatal accident and paralysis... it was basically the show of the courage of a human in really hard times.. to show how coward and shy humans can transform into courageous and brave people in the hour of need😊)
I think this is enough for u Rajju di...enjoy the serials😊😉

and as fir rahat kazmi's son... 🤢 i saw him in 1 serial and i couldnt believe he could act soo bad...i mean if your mom and dad are both LEGENDARY actors...you would have some sort of talent...but i guess there are exceptions to all rules
