Maniarasu was in love with Kavitha and were about to get married. Amutha loved Maniarasu but he wasn't interested in her. Amutha is Vadai's sister. She threatened to commit suicide and somehow they got married. Kavitha was jilted. Problems arose between Mani and Amutha; they divorced and he married Kavitha. Amutha married Vasu but K does not want to let matters rest.
