@Soumya..i agree with your thoughts dear..i was just saying it from my personal experince...at times..it is best to be truthful abt your matters with the family .that is not warm..basically becaue it means they wont be that understanding either..so leaving it up for later just means inviting more trouble...
i have seen my FIL deal with stuff and he is no less than a loonie himself..so i have figured out the best thing to do is to tell him things upfront rather than wait for the right time or so..because no time is right for him..he just know how to create fuss abt every small thing..as our Loonies do...
so i guess..atleast by saying the truth..the Mishra's wont have to worry abt Gautm creating trouble in the wedding as much and they might be able to enjoy the wedding a little more...as the B's already know abt it...
A nice thought provoking Poll i must say...Keep it up dear...

Soumya an awesome and thought provoking post

I think Mishras had no choice but to tell the looney. I think the Mishras went by Navya. Navya had first hand experience with looneys living with them for 7 days and she is fully aware that they do not like surprises and are high on ego and esteem. She knew that if it ever came out that Renu was having a divorce she knew that it would be bad for her family. Besides she knew that Gautam had almost kidnapped his child that day and felt that he could do it again. Being the Bajyapees and well recognized and high on sanskar if it had happened later and they had found out about Renu's divorce they would have been extremely upset and hurt.

I do not agree with any of the option of the poll but feel that telling the looneys was the only option they had

@Isha...very true hun, N's experience at the quilla must have been a strong reason...that is probably why Ms decided to tell Bs the truth!!

That brings me to my next question...when does it end??? Ms getting insulted and humiliated at B's hands? it's like Ms can never do anything good/right...whether it is N or her family and now Renu!

Will Bs ever be able to respect Ms ever? and till when should N continue to tolerate the crazy Bs?

That is a sad situation for N. We clearly saw in the 7 days that she went there she was like a fish out of water. Considering her experience I feel so sorry for her to be going into such a family knowing fully well that very few are on her side.

Is the old adage true then that you keep your head bowed as you are from the bride's side. I would like to see Naye Soch in that thinking too.

Here we have N a smart, intelligent girl forming a relationship with the looneys for Anant. Feel for her and the multitudes of girls who are in the same situation.

Exactly Isha..is there no relief for N and girls in her situation?

From where I see it, N and girls in her situation should just walk out of such alliances coz if my parents and family cannot be respected, I cannot respect my fiance's/husband's family! But am not in such a situation...so was wondering if anyone out here in the forum has been in a situation like that and how their perspective is different from mine.

And I cannot stand the belief that since I am the girl's father, I should keep my head low always!!!

A piquant post from your end, Soumya!!!! 👏
I concur that it was appropriate, that the Mishras came out clean before handing out the Invite👏👏👏👏...they will be spared from the constant fear of a sword dangling over their heads...
Regarding B's reaction to the news, it was not at all perplexing...
What remains to be seen, is how they will reciprocate when they come to know abt their dear grandsons being every much aware of this, eons ago...
But, it is not an end to Mishra's woes,... after Om's articulation that relatives/ friends be kept in the dark regarding the same...
And, Rama the wounded tigress, will stop at nothing to infringe parameters to bring their closely guarded secret out in the open.., not to forget G who is bound to create a ruckus, according to the new SP banner...
So,it will still be a cliff hanger for the Mishras...😭😭

Soumya, like you I also bow down to every person who has to deal with people who have build a mental block against eveyrthing in the name of tradition, basically loonie like people! I have never seen extremes but have seen difficult situations where making a choice was difficult. I am fiercely honest myself and yes that does not always lead to a rosy closure to things.
I had read this somewhere, You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequence of your choice!

Anjali, I concur...I have been propitious enough not to have had to deal with such situations/ppl..but, I kowtow to each esteemed individual who has dealt with the same, undauntingly...
And, nice adage regarding choices...👏
