Inder/Jhumpa : Whisper sweet bengali to me, baby!

So, I found it really funny & shocking that for the huge suck up Inder is to Jhumpa, he has never tried speaking to her in her mother-tongue! Seriously, this guy just seems to have won his sauten via money and being a lap dog .. did he even need to romance her or try to for the sake of romance? Poor Jhumpa, did you see how excited she was to hear Bengali under the impression it was Inder? Plus, Rishi seemed a little taken aback that Inder never tried to or learned to say small things in Bengali to entertain/romance his "love."

I had a mentor in a medical research lab who spoke farsi but learned small things in spanish to be all cutsie towards his girlfriend. his face would light up when he would tell her something simple, like "i miss you" or "i thought of you today.." & she would tell him how adorable he was (my mentor was really a sweet guy ..smart & fit too! 😆)

if you happened to meet someone you liked (all hypothetical), and they spoke a different language than you, would you like it if they tried saying one or two things to you in your own language (just to be cute or whatever?) & why? haha 😛
