Celebrities and models displayed Nisha Sagar's Bridal Collection at a jam-packed Regal Room of Oberoi Hotel amongst the world's leading cardiologists.
An Indya source reveals, "The show was magnificent in its splendor of majestic extravaganza where 11 female and 11 male models put the stage of fire attired in wedding finery of royalty. Encompassing Sarees, Anarkali, Lehenga Cholis and Sherwani complete with Pagdee (Head gear) in vivid royal colours, the collection is crafted in sheer georgettes, raw silk, brocade and velvet. The emphasis is more on cuts and kalis rather than heavy embroidery. Garments are very rich in fabric and finish but weight is lesser. Idea is not to tire the bride with heavy ensemble. Too much of stones, pearls and demante cause the garment to weigh a ton, hence we have emphasized more on class, richness of the fabric and cuts. Most discernible and unusual about these anaarkali are there designs. Some are strappy while others are off-shoulder showcasing a western upper flowing into an anaarkali grace to satiate the glamorous streak of Generation X."
Gurmeet Choudhry and his wife Debina looked like royals dressed in sherwani and anarkali respectively. Talking to us Gurmeet says, "Nishaji is like family to us as she is Shri Ramanand Sagar's daughter in law and we have worked together during Ramayan. Nishaji had designed all our costumes for the show. She is very talented and has a keen eye. Debina and I were the show stoppers and glad to be part of the rampwalk. When Nishaji called us, we agreed instantly. I love wearing different costume and the one I wore was really elegant and royal."
