Oh Sirius Black! What can I say about him? His first entry in the book was as an evil follower of Voldemort who would like to kill Harry at any cost but someone I couldn't digest the fact that this was Black's truth, don't ask me why probably the gut instinct.
Even his looks and wild behavior couldn't convince me enough that he is really what he is being portrayed as since the beginning of the book. When especially, McGonagall mentioned that he had killed Harry's parents and only a finger was found from one friend who tried to save them, something told me I wasn't being apprehensive for nothing. Let's say my brain works that way having read so many books.
But I hadn't had the slightest idea of what Sirius Black's real story was! That surely came to me as a shock! But I was glad that Harry finally found someone who could be like his parents. I was happy for Harry and I was happy since Sirius became one of my favorite characters in such a short time for his actions, behavior and love for Harry.
I still remember the moment when I read that Sirius died, tears came strolling down my eyes and I didn't want to read more.. Still, I gathered myself together and finished the whole book that very night.
Nish di, even I was so very much hoping to see him back but I guess he won't be back… One of the "Tragic characters" as your article mentioned.
It really hurts me to think how Harry has lost everyone he loved so dearly now even Dumbledore. But, most definitely, Black was really an influential character!
