OMKARA - Meet the characters

Before we come up with the film's preview, here is a chance for our readers to have a sneak peak at the characters played by the lead starcast of 'OMKARA', Vishal Bharadwaj's adaptation of Shakespeare's masterpiece 'OTHELLO'.

Set in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh, the film stars:

Ajay Devgan in the title role of 'Omkara', who is fondly called Omi Shukla. Corresponding character in 'Othello' - Othello.

Vivek Oberoi is Kesu Firangi, Omi's trusted lieutenant. Corresponding character in 'Othello' - Cassio.

Saif Ali Khan is Langda Tyagi, the man-in-charge with Omi. Corresponding character in 'Othello' - Iago.

Kareena Kapoor is Omi's love Dolly. Corresponding character in 'Othello' - Desdemona.

Konkona Sen Sharma is Langda's wife Indu. Corresponding character in 'Othello' - Emilia.

Bipasha Basu is Billo Chaman Bahar, a dancer.
