Ranbir Kapoor comes from the first family of Bollywood and had a lot of expectations pinned on him when he entered the industry. In a short span of time he has managed to push the envelope and gone beyond the boundaries on his own merit.
Talking about this, he said in a recent interview, "I know I have an 80 year old legacy to live up to. But I'm here for myself and want to be known through my work."
He went on to say that his focus has been on his own journey. Ranbir does not believe in focusing on external expectations or pressures as that will hamper his growth. All he wants is for people to know him for his work and his characters.
"I believe I have been able to detach my last name from my work now and people don't regard me just as a star son anymore," he said,
