brilliant idea minu & dev team!

as much as i love to read os's & ffs, da forum looked like a big mess cuz it's very difficult to trace discussion threads & topics. with this move, we can have a clean & tidy forum so thanks heaps!

d idea is gud no doubt but if the writers cud hv their own index as said above would be even better cz v r losing r readers. It will thus become easier in finding out if der r new updates.

Well, I know why this step was taken by the DT and quite understand why it was necessary. And perhaps it's only right that the FFs should be only in the FF section since we've a separate section for FFs, and the show forums are mainly discussion forums. But it doesn't change the fact that this new rule is bringing a number of inconvenience for the writers and readers.

Firstly, FF section is too clattered and it is so hard find any FF there. Only yesterday I was trying to find a FF and I went through page 1 to 20 not finding it and then gave up. That means many other has to face the problem leading the writers to loose readers. Cause it's becoming impossible to follow a FF unless we get a PM for it.

Secondly, any FF based on the show is read by the follower of the show only, how many people roam through FF section to search their favourite couple's story? So it means that after any FF crosses the 15 page limit, there'd hardly be any new reader in the FF, only the person reading would be following it in the FF section. And 15 page is pretty small limit, most of the FF cross this limit in 2 parts only.

I know that rule is rule and this rule is here to be kept and we are not even supposed to discuss it. But as a FF writer and lover I just have a little suggestion that might solve the above problems.

Couldn't we have a Update Notice thread in the IPKKND forum itself? We could open a thread where every FF write would post a reply stating that she's updated her FF in the FF section whenever she updates and provide a link there. This way the people browsing the IPKKND forum would always be informed about who is updating their FFs without bothering about PMs.

I see the separate index suggestion made by some members and that might also be a good idea. Maybe increasing the page limit a little bit would help too.

I hope these suggestions are taken into consideration by the DT 😊.

I do not read the fanfictions but i do find this rule a little harsh.

Instead of the 15 page rule why not stick to TWO fan fictions per writer.. if they wish to write more then link it to the fanfic corner.

Once they finish a story, they can have that topic closed or something after a week (so it wont appear at the front page all the time and gives ample time for the readers to appreciate the authors work)

This forum is very active, majority of the pages on FFs are full of comments written by readers not actual chapter(s) by the writer.
A writer can have 8 chapters and comments leading to 15 pages, or 1 chapter and 15 pages full of praise..

plz DT its very diffi to finf fics in ff section..or do one thing make sections in ff forum itself...it would b gr8 if u make section in ff forum if u dnt wanna move d stories to d ipkknd forum...plzzz consider it

plz dt dont do this by this u will lose the readers as nt everyone goes to the ff forum..it was more convenient here as we would know that which ff/ss has been updated..plz look forward to our request.

I agree with most people here, I do have my own FF and am quite upset that almost no new people will be able to read it, that sucks but apart from that I haven't been able to keep up with the FF's I had been reading till now as not all writers send PM's. And I have discovered no new FF's either because they are all clattered in the FF forum and very few of them are for IPKKND. Please please change this rule somehow, its really inconvenient !! The FF's were the best part of the forum and now they are gone :(
