actor sushant Singh Rajput aka Manav of ZeeTV's Pavitra Rishta,shocked many with his announcement of quitting the popular show a few months ago. And the coming week will be the last week for the actor on the show. But many are still clueless about how will the lead character of the show be discontinued? Some wonder, if he will be replaced by some other actor, or if his character will be killed. However we have learnt from sources that killing Manav's character is a more feasible option than replacing him. "He is a very popular face because of his character as Manav and for years now people are used to seeing him as Archana's (actor Ankita Lokhande's character on show) husband. If he is replaced with some other actor, it may not be a good decision for the show. Hence killing Manav is the other option that is being considered. However last minute changes cannot be denied. We also feel that it could well lead to a situation similar to that when Mihir Virani had died on Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi," the source explains.But Sushant will not just bid adieu to the show but also to television. Apparently the actor is not keen on taking up anything new on TV and is instead looking to assist in film direction or even considering acting in them. In fact, we hear that Sushant has been receiving many offers from quite a few banners for lead roles in Bollywood films owing to his strong fan base and also acting ability due to his theatre background. When we contacted Sushant he was all praises for soap queen Ekta Kapoor, as he said, "Yes, my last day on Pavitra Rishta is this week. The show surely has given me a lot and I am grateful to Ekta Kapoor for giving me the show. And I am sure even if I'm leaving the show, it will be a hit as Ekta very well knows what our viewers want!"

So now its confirmed, so sad. I am going to miss Sushant, the CVs shouldn't kill off his character nor should they look for a replacement why couldn't they just end the show? The show will not be the same without Sushant, just look at today's epi Manav wasn't there and the show was a complete bore!

Finally he opens his mouth on it, I was beginning to feel rather ticked off at the way rumors were just floating without any words from him.
It's good he's finally leaving and that too on good terms with Ekta; all the best to him for whatever he wants to do next!
As for Manav, he'll be kinda dead now anyway for most people, might as well give his character a place on the wall next to Sachin and Kaka. 😆

@bold...exactly...if a day cud do this then imagine the rest of show without him forever...be it replacement or killing him!!...well happy that he made a sensible decision in not hanging onto the sinking ship which Kekta and her adorable cv's created!
