I wonder how they'll start it. In SB, Krishna & Balarama visit Hastinapur during the time the Pandavas & Kunti were @ Ekachakra. Only thing - Krishna's visit there was cut short b'cos Satrajit had been murdered for giving Satyabhama away to Krishna, and so Krishna returned w/ her to avenge her father's death.

The MB version has Krishna first appearing during Draupadi's swayamvar, and supporting Drupada & Dhrishtadyumna in her swayamvar, and persuading Drupad to acquiesce w/ Draupadi having 5 hubbies.

So I'm curious about how they'll choose to start it. I do hope they don't, after introducing Arjun, show him helping Krishna marry Kalindhi, Bhadra and Lakshmanaa. That will be totally wacked.

He was good, but a younger actor would have been better to give fresh look. So next track will be the longest one.😊

Yeah, you're right. I loved Gufi Paintal as Shakuni in BRC's MB, but now I'm wondering whether he'll look too old for the role, since more than 20 years passed since MB came out.😳

I'd expect that people who played the roles of princes 20 years ago would play more elderly roles in this serial. A very good example is Puneet playing Duryodhan then, and Jarasandha now, or Vinod Kapoor playing Dushashan then, and Vibheeshan in ASR. That makes sense. For Shakuni, if they were picking from the past serials, they could have picked someone like Sarvadaman Banerjee for this role, or the guy who played Vibheeshan or Sugreev in the RS Ramayan. Gufi playing that role again is somewhat anachronistic, since Shakuni wasn't that old. If anything, Gufi might have been better cast in Bheeshma's role (or Ugrasena's.)

Who they pick for Arjun & Bhima will be key - they better not screw that up. Draupadi doesn't dominate Krishna's story to the extent that she does the Mahabharata.

I can very well picture Gufi as an awesome Bhishma...guess the Sagars did not think of that.😲😔 I agree about Arjun and Bhima being central in Krishna's life, especially Arjuna...I think they'll choose someone good though, because so far the male actors in DBSK have been either very good or acceptable. It's the female leads that viewers have a problem with. Though Draupadi does not play a central role in Krishna's life contrary to MB, I do hope they choose someone good and not someone who'll screech like a banshee during the vastra haran.

those actors in color's Na aana is des laado (that eldest son of ammaji) can be good ones for Kauravas. but for the roll of Karna some good actor should be there. i remember , Pankaj Dheer lookd good as Karna in Mahabharat.
but good , that means, Krishna's wives r about to disappear.
one more thing, Krishna to kill Shishupal at the time of Rajsuya Yagya done by Pandavas. and Rukmini is supposed to be there with him. what then?

Where does it say that Rukmini was present in Indraprastha during the Rajasuya yagna? She may have been in Indraprastha w/ the other queens (probably was, since all the Yadavas filled up Indraprastha after Subhadra's marriage and Draupadi entertained the queens, like Rukmini, Satyabhama and so on) At any rate, if they could drop Rukmini from incidents like Tulabharam & Sudama, dropping her from here on is much more trivial. Sad thing - they won't be showing Pradhyumna @ all - Krishna's role as a father is pretty much done in!

For the actors, there were some I'd like to see here. I'd like Lalit Negi, who played Shatrughan in ASR, be Arjun in this serial. For Draupadi, dare I say it, but I wish Drashti could get that role (not wanting Gurmina here though - that would totally steal the show from Krishna). For Bhima, I'd like Naman Shaw (from Rakt Sambandh) and if Hanuman is there in this serial, I'd like it to be Vikram Sharma again. Incidentally, I wish Adi Pachori had played Shiva's role here, just like he did in ASR and initial episodes of MDSK.

Since Yashashri Masurkar is leaving CGM, if she hasn't already, I wish she'd be available for Subhadra's role - can't think of a better one for this. The actress who played Kaikeyi in ASR should play Kunti's role here.

I think that if they haven't finalized their Pandava cast, they should wait and instead show the Paundrak track next. By the time it is done, they can get to Draupadi's swayamvara. If they go the SB route, they can introduce just Duryodhan (suggestion: Varun Khandelwal of Jyoti for this one) to learn mace-fighting from Balarama (somehow, they'll have to 'forget' that Balarama was the ruler of Dwarka in their script).
