Mahabharata & Shrimad Bhagvatam have different accounts about Krishna's entry into the life of the Pandavas. In the Mahabharata, Krishna first appears in the story during Draupadi's swayamvara. In SB, otoh, after Krishna's marriage to Satyabhama, he visits Hastinapur w/ Balarama to see Kunti & the Pandavas, but doesn't meet them, since they've moved to Varnavarta (the lakshagriha episodes). During that time, Satrajit was murdered and Satyabhama came to Hastinapur to tell Krishna to give her justice, so Krishna & Balarama returned.
Of course, in this serial, they did nothing like that, so who knows whether they'll show Krishna going to Hastinapur, or Upalavya(?) But since they are narrating the Mahabharata from Krishna's POV rather than Vaisampayana's, I expect them to show SB versions of events. Ideally, I'd prefer it if they made a composite of SB and MB versions of events, depending on what makes sense. For instance, I'd prefer them to show the MB version of Krishna's war w/ Shalva (as narrated by Krishna to the Pandavas) @ the same time that Draupadi's vastraharan is going on, since that was the reason Krishna gave Draupadi for not being available to prevent her humiliation.
But I like this aspect of the Krishna-centricity of the Mahabharata stretch of this serial. Honestly, even BRC had Krishna as the lead actor - the credit role always had Nitish Bharadwaj as the first name in the credit rolls, followed by Rupa Ganguli and others. But I do dearly hope we'll be spared those endless bhashans of Vidura, Gandhari, Shakuni, et al that were excessive in BRC's Mahabhashana - I prefer Satyabhama's dumb questions to those dialogs anyday 🤪😆
