It is now time to announce the results of the Spirits, Spells & Stories writing contest!

First up is our winner of the Autumn/Fall theme. The winning entry was # 2 (read below).

Leaves crunched behind me, though the path was empty. Pumpkins lit themselves, flickering in eerie unison. A cool breeze called my name through the swirling air. Fall was beautiful—until it smiled back at me in the dark.

And for our Horror theme, we had a spooky babysitting story, aka entry 4 (read below).

Kara answered an ad for babysitting five children. The kind mother welcomed her into their quiet home. No laughter, no childish noises. Then she opened a door: in the room, five chained children, dirty and deformed, stared at her hungrily. "My babies are hungry" she whispered closing the door.

No. Given the small number of entries, we stuck with winners only. There would be too many ties for runner-up.
