lol...why did people assume they know everything in others lives?
Amirita has every right to go to the funeral or keep distance from it..
why fans jump in?
Showing up/not at a funeral is not some thing needed to discuss 7 pages..

I have a bit of an unrelated question guys - please indulge me. It came from reading that Amrita had asked Saif to give her 5 crores for the kids and 2.5 crores for herself.

Now I don't live in India so pardon the ignorance but isn't 7.5 crores a really paltry sum to ask from Saif? Here in USA when a couple splits their assets are divided almost equally. I cannot believe that all the wealth Saif had (at that point) was equal to 15 crores?

On a different note: When would someone be considered to have reached the "really rich and really comfortable" bracket? I mean - the minimum number (in lakhs or crores) which I person MUST have to be considered extremely wealthy?

I mean - if a person has 20 lakhs in assets I bet they cannot be called extremely wealthy. However a person with 50 crores - yes definitely. What is the minimum figure to be called "extremely wealthy"

Please enlighten me- I am having a debate with my friends here ;)

well, it depends on the society the person lives.

if the neighborhood is outside the metros, having 20/30 crs makes one filthy rich.

but, if the person lives in any metro 50crs are like peanuts.

a lavish apartment in Mumbai costs 15/16 crores or more.

for a Mumbaiker exceeding 200 crores of assets makes a person filthy rich.

Thank you. That kind of ties in with what I thought. So Amrita asking for 7.5 crores total for life from Saif is really crazy isn't it? What is it going to get her really?

My friends (some cousins from India) also mentioned that if a person crosses 6 crore (I don't know why 6 lol) they go into the bracket of "really rich" and if they cross 20 then they go into the bracket of filthy rich (minimum sums to enter the bracket). They were speaking for all over India in general though not specifically Mumbai.

Any other opinions? This is really interesting for me...

at that period, i guess, Saif was not even a 1crore/movie actor.

SRK used to charge 4 to 5 crores per film.
