Chapter 24
"IF you want some time here with your husband, Naintara, you can come here anytime. Just gimme a call and I'll arrange for dinners- one night, by the lake and one night, here", said Geet, winking and laughing.
"Ah Geet, your husband's gonna be lucky. You seem to have lot of romantic ideas", said Kiara, grinning.
Geet, for a second imagined Maan, filling her maang with sindoor and cringed at the thought. "Not happening", she told herself and smiled back.
"Hmmm!", said Geet, getting the wonderful image of Maan filling her maang again and again. "Geet, sapna dekhna bandh karo", she said, sitting her head, slightly.
"Kaunsi sapna", asked Naintara.
"Arey bhabhi, Maan Veerji ke bare mein sapna hogi. Aap details mat poocha karo na. Bechari ke liye mushkil ho jaeyega", said Kiara. Kiara and Naintara high-fived each other and laughed while Geet, grumbled and walked away, saying.
"I'll get water ready, take bath and come down. I'll make lunch", said Geet, walking away. Kiara and Naintara continued to laugh and walked into their bedrooms. Naintara was thinking of what to wear when Kiara walked in, with her clothes in her hand, and a towel on her shoulder.
"Bhabhi", she said, trying to catch Naintara's attention.
"Haan, bolo", said Naintara.
"AAp jao na pehle, nahane", she requested.
"Theek hain, lazy girl", said Nainatara.
Kiara sat on her head and said, "Bhabhi aapko kya lagta hain, Geet aur Maan Veerji ka kuch ho sakta hain?"
Naintara looked at her, amiled and said, "Kiara, agar un dono ke kismet mein ek dusre ka saath likha hain, tuo wahin hoga"
"Bhabhi, yaar itna philosophy mat bolo yaar. Practical bano", she said, putting her clothes aside.
"Hmmm, I think, they would make a great Jodi. The reason, I'm saying it because till date, no one has taken any sort of risk with Maan Khurana, but this girl is something different. I know she likes him, but your Veerji, is a mystery", she said, sitting on the bed.
"Haan, par Veerji bhi'" and before she could continue, Geet called from downstairs, "Arey baatein baad mein karna. Lunch ho gayi. Aaeye", she said.
"Coming Geet!", said Nainatara and Kiara. Naintara ran into the bathroom and took a quick shower. She came out and dressed and went downstairs to help Geet.
Kiara in the mean time, took bath and came. She searched for the other two, around the house, but could not find them, anywhere. She went outside, when she saw, them sitting far away, in the middle of the fields, on some wooden structure.
"Kiara, aa jao", shouted Geet."
"Haan, coming!", she said, running towards them. "Yahan kya kar rahe ho?", she asked, sitting beside Geet, on a pile of hay.
"Lunch venue yahin hain", said Geet, while she took the boxes out from the bag and set them aside. She spread a sheet on the wodden structure and put the plates, glasses there.
"Yahan?", said Kiara, looking around.
"Haan, Field experience, lunch", said Geet.
"Yaar tumhari life acchi hain. Lunch ke liye different venue aur dinner ke liye different. How interesting", said Kiara.
"I know! But dinner in the lantern light", said Naintara.
"Haan Haan, sure! After lunch , the two of you will take some rest and cook dinner", said Geet, serving food.
"Kya?",said Kiara, taking a plate, "Tumhein itni jaldi marne ka iraade hain kya?", she asked.
"Matlab?", asked Geet.
"Hamare khana khaane ke baad, tum na jee paoge, aur na hi mar paoge", said Kiara.
"Aisa nahin hain. Main aapko guide karungi, aur aap cooking seekh lena", said Geet.
"Kiara, tub hi na, Geet ko itni jaldi maarne ki iraade hain kya? Bechari ki abhi shaadi bhi nahin hui, Maan Veerji se, aur tum'" and Geet looked at her, shocked.
"Mera matlba hain, Geet kis shaadi nahin hui, aur Maan Veerji, hain na, torture karne. Tum bhi kyun us league mein join kar rahe ho?", she corrected herself, but Geet, understood what she meant. Geet said nothing and ate quietly.
"YAar amazing food!", said Kiara, "You should cook in the mansion too. Dev Veerji aur Daadiji, ungliya chaatte reh jayenge".
"Aur Maan Veerji ka kya?", asked Naintara, tasting the paneer.
"Haan, woh Geet ke ungliya chaateinge", she said, softly, such that only Naintara could hear. Naintara choked on her food, laughing and Geet said , "Lagta hain, Dev ji, aapke bare mein soch rahe hain".
Kiara, smiled while Naintara, struggled, coughing. She drank some water and shot Kiara and angry look.
"Kiara, pehle khana enjoy karo, jokes baad mein", she said. Kiara winked.
Naintara shook her head and took a deep breath, "YEh tuo Maan Veerji ko aur Geet, ko ek karke rahegi".
They had lunch, and then they cleared the place, and walked to the house, with the bags and lunch boxes.
They sat in the corridor for sometime and Geet, handed over the boxes, plates and glasses for washing.
She came and joined them when she realized Kiara was talking about the type of guy she wants in her life.
"Bhabhi, he should be sophisticated and posh! I don't care if he is rich or not, because I have enough property. He should be nice to me and my family' and'", she paused, when her gaze fell on Geet, who was listening to her, very seriously. Geet smiled. Kiara smirked and said, "Bas. That's all".
"That's all. Your list seems to be very small, Kiara", said Naintara.
"Arey mere chodo na. Geet tum apni bata. What kind of a person do you want in your life?", she asked. Naintara, smiled and looked away, understanding Kiara's plan.
"Ji, main shaadi nahin karungi", said Geet.
"Kya? Maan Veerji, tuo sanyaas hi reh jaeyenge, phir", said Kiara worried. Naintara pinched her and Kiara said, "Mera matlab hain, Geet, tum bhi, Maan Veerji ki tarah, Sanyaas lena chahte ho?"
"Nahin, mera matlab who nahin", said Geet, not understanding what to tell.
"Geet, wiase tum dono, ek kaam kar sakte ho. Ek hi aashram mein tum dono, sanyaas lena, wahan bhi ladthe jagadthe, rehenge, tuo time pass ho jaeyega", she said, smiling.
"Yeah Right!", said Geet.
"Arey Kiara, Chup! Geet batao na", asked Naintara.
"Ahh", said Geet, thinking what to tell, she then remembered Maan, and smiled.
"HE should be posh, charismatic and dignified. His actions should speak louder than words. He should have a beautiful smile and eyes that speak volumes, without uttering a word. His care and concern, should be to an extent that even his anger reflects his love and concern for me. HE should argue, fight and yet never stop loving me", she said, stopping herself, from getting lost, in Maan's world.
Kiara, recorded her description on phone and kept quiet. She did not even tell Naintara about it. She thought she could use this card, when required. "Afterall, she was Kiara Singh Khurana and like her brother Maan Singh Khurana, she too, very well knew, when to play which card".
She smiled proudly. Naintara listened with intent and said, "I hope you get such a guy".
"Oh Geet! Don't worry, I know one person, who fits your description", said Kiara.
"Kaun?", asked Geet, puzzled.
"Maan Veerji", she said, putting her phone into her pocket, and smiled, wickedly.
"dekhiye, mujhe us dusht daanav se, shaadi nahin karni", said Geet, turning away, while her face turned red with embarrassment.
"Arey Geet, relax. Maine abhi sentence complete hi nahin kiya. Main yeh keh rahin thi, ki Maan Veerji k eek friend hain, Aashiv Nanda. He fits your description, perfectly. He's an amazing person", she said.
"Oh!", said Geet, with her ears, turning red and burning out of embarrassment. She cursed herself for speaking before without listening.
"Geet, get into the habit of listening to others speak", she told herself, "Before it's too late", she mumbled.
"Chalo, thodi der aaram karte hain", said Kiara, getting up.
"Haan, go and rest in the bedroom upstairs, by then, I'll get the verandah cleaned for our dinner and get the lanterns also ready", said Geet, standing up.
"SO soon?", asked Naintara.
"Haan, because now the workers will go away. And later, its going to become difficult to help you in cooking and also getting the place cleaned", she said.
"Okay, then see you in some time. If you need any help, let us know", said Kiara.
"I'll help you, Geet?", asked Naintara.
"Arey don't worry. I'll manage. Go and rest. Tomorrow we will go to the fest, here", she said.
"Okies, that sounds fun", said Naintara. Both of them walked upstairs and Geet got to work. She thought about the description she had given about Maan and she knew there was no other person like him. even though Kiara had said Maan's friend was like the description she had given, she very well knew, she only referreed to Maan and no one else. The reason she said, she would not get married was also because, she only wanted Maan in her life and no one else. It would either be Maan or no one else. She would be only his or stay alone her whole life, loving him.
Naintara and Kiara lay beside each other on the bed.
"Kiara, who is this Aashiv Nanda?', asked Naintara.
"I dunno", said Kiara, turning the other side and sleeping.
"Matlab?", asked Naintara, pulling Kiara to face her.
"Matlab, I lied to her. There is no person, named Aashiv Nanda. Aur waise bhi agar aisa koi hota, tuo kya main shaadi nahin kar leti?", she said, winking.
"Oh God, Kiara, you are impossible", said Naintara.
"Bhabhi, aapka aur Geet ka kya hain, Itne acche log mil gaye, aapko, Dev aur Maan veerji. Lekin mujhe tuo thoda sochna padega na".
"Oh yeah?", said Naintara, "Okay sleep!".
"Haan, I wish to dream about Geet and Maan's marriage today. Please, bless me", she said, joining her hands in front of Nainatra and bowing her head.
"Why dream? You will witness that event in reality", said Naintara.
"Thanks Naintara Dev Khurana. You've made my day", she said, winking. She turned the other side and slept, fantacizing the impossible to happen. Well, would it happen? Maybe it will or may be it wont. But when two hearts are destined to meet, they will no matter what happens!
